Re: Meanwhile in Texas
I don't have any doubt.
A Texas parent on Monday took off his clothing during a school board meeting to make a point regarding social norms and the need for mask mandates....
"From driving down the road and being safe and courteous to other drivers, to not parking in handicapped spots — all these rules that we're given every day that we follow because they make sense and we know in ourselves that it makes sense for the community."
"It's an easy message," he added....

Mom files public records request for records concerning the bullying her son has received at a Texas school.
"Chumchal's 13-year-old son has endured two years of verbal and physical bullying targeted at his Korean-American heritage, according to the family. Last month, Chumchal filed a public records request with the Joshua Independent School District for the number of bullying, incident, assault, police and grievance reports filed between 2015 and 2022."
School responds, sure thing, but first you have to pay us $7,111.12.
I'm not sure which is worse - Texas or Florida. Both are filled with people who moved there because they were discontented with where they lived, yet they wanted this "new place" to be like their old place only more hateful.

Re: Meanwhile in Texas
Having lived in both places, mostly before they became lighthouses of loonacy, I find it sad all around. Elections and citizenry notwithstanding, it seems they pick governors who are way over the edge of crazy.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 6:34 am

County weighs closing all librarys bbecause of 12 books.
In the Night Kitchen by Maurice Sendak was such an evil book that I read to my kid about a hundred times.
Does anyone even remember back to days long past when it was liburals who was the Snowflakes?
