Dishonest headline. The Lesbian couple is NOT demanding child support.

It's the State of Kansas that's demanding it, after the mother was left unable to work due to ill health. If an opposite-sex couple had used artifical insemination without using a certified doctor, the donor would be in the same situation.

The only gay rights angle is that Kansas does not recognize same-sex unions, and so legally the other woman in the couple is treated as if she does not exist.
