So Trump has ordered the release of some 80,000 classified pages about the JFK assassination.

Here’s a question: Why were these classified in the first place?

Don’t we have the right to know the complete truth about what’s going on in our country?

This applies to the JFK assassination, Sept. 11…heck, even alien visitors from space.

Does the government think we can’t handle the truth?

So Trump has ordered the release of some 80,000 classified pages about the JFK assassination.

Here’s a question: Why were these classified in the first place? I don't know, but I'd guess that part of it is related to the specifics of investigation that would include information about US security/spy measures and people who might have been investigated but really weren't involved. An investigation that extensive turns up a lot of chaff with a little wheat.

Don’t we have the right to know the complete truth about what’s going on in our country? Maybe, in a sense, but not everybody really has a need to know, and there are a lot of people running around who actually wouldn't handle sensitive information responsibly. If you tell "everyone" you're also telling your adversaries.

Does the government think we can’t handle the truth? Some can't, and some would trash, distort and make up their own versions, thus damaging the actual facts. No need to provide a reference for that opinion. Just look around you.
