It was common 30 years ago for us Baptist to call several denominations cults. That is a little strange because what separates us from other Christian churches is recognition of individual interpretation of the Bible. I suppose it might be the creed thing but we read creeds as part if our responsive readings often.

In any case Mormons as as a people and the way they conduct their lives have my respect as do Catholics. My religion does not direct me to destroy them and their religion does not direct them to destroy me. And we all of accept Jews as the chosen people that gave us Christ.

Billy has always leaned towards ecumenical thought. It's why he left the fold at Bob Jones University years ago. Now, Franklin is another story, although I wouldn't expect him to say much about Mormons this close to the election because of his overwhelming fear of Obama.
Another twist to this is the fact that Billy Graham claims to be prolife, but is backing Mitt a pro choice individual.

I don't remember you from upstate, so it seems as if we start from here. anyone from upstate and greenville before can verify that I was slaughterhouse 5 at the greenville forum and kilgore trout at the upstate forum. being alan would not really fit my name theme.

I almost forgot, I did start at greenville as kilgore trout but some local city council guy who actually thinks he's a trout told the paper that I had to stop because people though my comments were his.
