Al Qaeda fires terrorist by letter, citing poor performance
A letter recently discovered inside a former Al Qaeda stronghold reported that in October, Mokhtar Belmohktar an Algerian terrorist was terminated.
In the 10-page memo signed by the group's 14-member Shura Council, Belmoktar is described as "a bleeding wound" who –
Failed to carry out a single successful operation
Failed to bring in top dollar for his hostages
Failed to answer the telephone when they called
Failed to submit his expense reports

Terminated. I guess Al Qaeda uses the word differently than the CIA.
Always, always return phone calls. I saw an article about this in the paper. Pretty
funny, even considering the circumstances. Apparently the guy wanted to bypass
the local yokels and hook up with the higher ups in Al Qaeda. He went out on his
own and did some high profile terrorist acts. Quitting the organization to do his
own thing. Guess he had the soul of an entrepreneur.

However, the major point is he didn't carry out enough "operations." Isn't one all they can carry out? Think about that for a minute.
