Yes, I admit I assumed the "lid" that isn't a lid is just above the surface of the water. But now I wonder what purpose it actually serves. Seems to me you could have used a decorative trellis or two for the flora to caress as it interweaves into the trellis. Hell, you could even wrap the trellises with energized wire like you've done with that non lid. I'm just wondering why you didn't make it 75 feet off the water instead of just 7. Truth is not truth. Outrageous, sure, but maybe not as much as it would seem. You've got sentencing decisions by two different judges, with the first judge obviously (in retrospect) making a bad one. The second judge, who may or may not have known about the previous days' sentence, made a decision in line with guidelines and prosecution requests. But it's unfortunate one had to be black and one white. I certainly would not argue that race made no difference, but it might not have. If the defendants and judges had been reversed, would white Debbie have gotten jail time from the second judge? I'm guessing possibly so.
