Both Spartanburg and Hendersonville forums were shut down the same day, so I am not sure who to blame. Second you on Skin, though.

Let me explain the situation here for 2012.

I have been given permission from the higher-ups to remove this forum at my discretion. As you know, many of the other New York Times Regional papers have already eliminated their forums.

And as I'm sure you have read elsewhere, the trend across the country is to eliminate anonymous forums.

I have several choices. All are based on how much of my limited time I have to spend making this forum clean and civil. Believe it or not, maintaining the forum is not high on my list of responsibilities.

There were 13 reported messages this morning. That cleanup takes up too much of my time.

1. I can delete the forum, as management suggests.

2. I can ban all the troublemakers.

3. I can just delete all troublesome threads entirely each day to save time.

4. I can leave things the way they are, because all of you make a pact to stop the name calling and outing other posters by name or occupation. And you agree to keep your posts clean of offensive language, just debating issues and not making personal attacks. No threats, no "you idiots," no bull stuff trying to hide offensive language.

What shall it be?

Might not be you to blame, but you were the most banned individual because of your persistent needling of other posters, forums hogging, and refusal to be banned via constantly creating new aliases. How many aliases did you rack up, not counting the gay goat avatar that you started with?

I will not BLAME any one person. I my self made one comment that I remember that was very bad and I apologized for it and I remember exactly what it was and do still feel bad about it a year later.
That being said I do believe there were a few liberals who's sole point was to shut down the forum, buy going and whining continually, if they whined about me they whined about others. And it wasn't about what I said they whined about it was about all different things and I mentioned it many times over there.

Well, I for one am happy it's gone, given the condition it had degenerated to. I've got no problem with requiring some reasonable level of civility, but sending me greetings for referring to Super-S as an "Eeyore" while letting go any derogatory name directed toward Obama or libs in general was ridiculous. I never reported anyone, and made an effort to "be nice" but it was rapidly ceasing to be fun. I do enjoy the conversation of many who were there, and thanks Banni for the new venue!

I was banned a second time for using Damned, then permanently now just for LOOKING at the FORMS, I was told I was trying to log in while banned, if I did it was because I was set up when I went to the forums I used to log in automatically I think. I never knowingly TRIED to LOG IN it was someone here who mentioned I must of been still been logged in which I was. Since logging out I can't even view the sight.
The ban says contact the administrator, is all I wanted to do was tell him what a fucking asshole he must be is all.
He is now just finding reasons to ban folks, he is nothing more then piece of crap.
I was banned and I did as I was supposed to.

That's what I was told by the adm. it was all B/S. I didn't find out until I ran into a few people on sat. that some were pissed because I had mentioned names of some locals on the forum. Every time I mentioned the names the post disappeared, a few others I know were banned for nothing more then either agreeing with or mentioning the same names.
The whole thing was stupid anyway.
