21-7 'boys at the half  , making a strong case for two broadcast doubleheaders.

Not a good weekend to be a Miami fan, whatever the league.
... The eye-opener in Miami Sunday was the play of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The second-year passer was perfect in their 59-10 win over the Dolphins, able to watch the fourth quarter safely on the bench after logging a spotless 158.3 passer rating.

Jackson was 17-of-20 passing for 324 yards and five touchdowns....

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2 ... ns-cruise/
He only had to rush 3 times for 6 yards, a specialty of his during his amazing Louisville career.
Marlins fans are happy, though, I guess.

Old man Jason Witten returns from retirement.

WATCH: Welcome back, Jason Witten! The G.O.A.T. bags another TD

On another note: The Raiders get rid of their problem. Hope he and Tom Brady get along.

They've been doing mnf double headers on opening night for about ten years or so.

Forgiveness isn't the issue. I'm more concerned since I don't remember it at all. Then again, college ball is more my thing than the NFL, especially early in the season.

Edit, look what I found:

Houston vs. New Orleans - I did not have a favorite, but WOW! I incorrectly thought the game was over about 5 times in the last 1:30.

Oakland Raiders (Traitors next year), early: Antonio who?
33-3 victors over Pitt New England: Antonio who?
Miami: Antonio who? We suck regardless.

The Clemson Raiders played well.
The Houston Tigers played well, came up short - 58 yard field goal. Congrats Saints.

Oh, former Clemson WR Sammy Watkins current Kansas City Chief played well too.

Antonio Brown sued for sexual assault and rape

I have no opinion on guilt or innocence yet, but:

Denver 16, AFC West leading ;) Oakland 24, still: Antonio who? Plus: Whew!

33-3 victors over Pitt New England: Antonio who?
Now New England: Wish we didn't know Antonio who.
Does Oakland have a returns policy? :D

Miami: Antonio who? We suck regardless.
We still suck.
The Baltimore Ravens have the solo AFC North lead.
I like the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers, and am okay with the Saints having the solo NFC South lead.
The Seattle Seahawks are leading the NFC West ;) .

That was ugly, though a little exciting at the end. 9 red zone trips, 4 FGs, 0 TDs, vs the Bucs, at home. Oh well, next year for the Panthers.

Close ones:

Arizona 17, Baltimore 23
LA Chargers 10, Detroit 13
Minnesota 16, Green Bay 21, I like them both.
Jacksonville 12, Houston 13, dull game, exciting finish, no preference.
Seattle 28, Pittsburgh 26, whew
Indianapolis 19, Tennessee 17, awww - slightly.

Go Oakland and Philadelphia.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger out for year with elbow injury, will need surgery

So very much work to come back at 37, uncertain whether he even could, and new injury could happen any day. If I was Big Ben, I'd hang it up gracefully. He had a great career.

Seems like a Tommy John surgery.....he can come back from this if he chooses. Personally, I'd hang 'em up. His body has to be beat.

That, and he may not have a starting job to come back to if the new guy keeps playing like he did yesterday. Sorry to see Big Ben go, but it looks like it's time.

Big Ben, Drew Brees, Cam Newton hurt, Eli Manning benched + others in just Week 2 = Colin Kaepernick?

Nah, the NFL could not handle the shame of him doing well.

Opinion: Colin Kaepernick 'actively interested,' even as NFL isn't interested in him

Kaapernick aintnevergonna happen.

I think if he was good enough he'd be in the league by now. He had the one good year and went to the Superbowl, but beyond that I don't recall him being a very good quarterback. I believe he was subsequently benched.

The NFL are a bunch of whores, they do anything to win. If there was a chance he could put a team over the top, he'd be playing.

It's a debatable point. The OpEd addresses it with:
... Kaepernick has a career passer rating of 88.9, which would put him just behind Carson Wentz and ahead of Jared Goff this season. Aaron Rodgers and Dak Prescott are the only active players with a lower interception rate. And while his record as a starter his last three seasons in San Francisco was 11-24, it has become abundantly clear since then that Kaepernick was the least of the 49ers’ problems....

Cam, too?

Kyle Allen
2018:
2 games, 20/31 64.5%, 266 Yds, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, 113.1 Rating!
Today: 19/26 73.1%!, 261 Yds, 4 TDs!, 0 INTs

38-20, first Panther win of the year. Seriously, I'm not writing Cam's epitaph yet, but he has been sucking.

New Orleans > Seattle, ugh.
Kansas City barely > Baltimore, darn
