Some pretty impressive acceleration there; for comparison, a steam catapult on a US carrier will sling a plane down the flight line at a rate of zero to sixty in .798 seconds....with the catapult and the jet engine combined the plane gets to about 140 in about three seconds.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2019 6:59 amElon Musk unveils new Tesla truck and sports car: https://youtu.be/l5dW2MyRBiw

Wilkins appears to still be the sheriff of Granville County and he has been released from custody on $20,000 bond.
So far, it's been crickets from good old Brindell. His name reminds me of Briscoe Darling from the old Andy Griffin show. Charlene Darling was the good part of the family.Vrede too wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 3:12 pmDid you link the article you intended? Hertz Renting 2020 Chevy Camaros with 480 or 750 HP
What could possibly go wrong?
The easiest place to get out into open road with minimal liklihood of attracting cops would probably be Phoenix, followed probably by Las Vegas. Or maybe drive from LA to Vegas. But getting out in clear country and no cops out of any of those Florida places would eat up a lot of your $1K per day rental.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 9:21 pmIt's well known that rental cars can go anywhere; those Camaros will just get there faster.
I've heard there's no enforced speed limits in certain places in Montana; never been there. Shit, is it a grand a day to rent a hoopty? I didn't read the story, but mine will still go damn fast twenty years after birth. Lately it's been bleeding some coolant but I can't figure out if it's from the fill reservoir or the radiator itself; hope to hell it's not the radiator since I had a new one about six years ago for 1200 bucks; it sits in there at about a 40 degree angle. And my hoopty only has a little over 300 horsepower but it's given me the fright more than once.O Really wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 9:28 pmThe easiest place to get out into open road with minimal liklihood of attracting cops would probably be Phoenix, followed probably by Las Vegas. The 750-hp ZL1 Camaro will start at $299 per day, with no security deposit required. You'll be able to drive the ZL1 a mere 75 miles per day before a 75-cent-per-mile overage charge kicks in. For the 480-hp SS, the cost starts at $99 per day; all the other rules are the same.
