Kyle Allen
2018: 2 games, 20/31 64.5%, 266 Yds, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, 113.1 Rating!
Today: 19/26 73.1%!, 261 Yds, 4 TDs!, 0 INTs
38-20, first Panther win of the year. Seriously, I'm not writing Cam's epitaph yet, but he has been sucking.
New Orleans > Seattle, ugh.
Kansas City barely > Baltimore, darn

What can I say? I'm a Seattle fan, but I don't hate New Orleans.

Not on TV here.

Sorry I missed it. When I posted it was 33-14 with 4:19 left. I figured it was over.

I was going to mock his being from Utah, but U. Tennessee isn't as bad.

Local TV sports and fans would beg to differ. No, there wouldn't be any begging, just violent disagreement. Weather in Seattle was barely, if, out of the 50's and drippling rain. Sit out there for three hours to see fumbles, 3s-and-outs, non-existent offensive line, and general incompetence. Against a team that didn't even miss its starting QB. Foulness might be expected.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 8:08 pm

Non existent offensive line? Maybe with Seattle; Kamara was pretty offensive from their point of view.

Kamara is indeed a beautiful runner, making the defense look as inept as the O-line.

AH, I did not mean to insinuate that all that religious diversity happened at once, and I should have made all those designations plural as well. I may as well also admit to not being discriminatory in that I've also had "knowing" relations with what could correctly be described as female members of the so called snake handler sect.Vrede too wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 9:45 amI've had a couple of threesomes but never a foursome, religiously diverse or otherwise. Let's just say there was the laying on of hands as well as the taking of the sacrament. Funny how my confessing to not being Mormon has led to all this non NFL banter. But then again, there's the concept of tight ends, pushing it right up the middle, and going for two. So i guess it's ok.Vrede too wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 1:46 pmYour "snake" was handled?neoplacebo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 12:57 pm... Re: NFL Football
2-0 since, including stomping DC last night. Nice, but still tied for last in the NFC North.
http://scores.nbcsports.com/fb/standings.asp
neoplacebo's unBrees-y Saints lead the NFC South, fine by me.
The unbeaten Rams and the . . . 49ers?!

DC is winless in the NFC East, of course, but the 'boys lead it

AFC South - Meh, don't much care, but neoplacebo may want his Titans to do better.
Go Ravens, early season AFC North (North?) champs.
The unbeaten Chiefs would be my last pick in the AFC West.
The unbeaten Pats, of course, and the . . . Bills?! lead the AFC East.

Re: NFL Football
Report: Cam Newton has Lisfranc injury
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton‘s foot injury has already forced him to miss one game and will force him to miss at least one more. And it may be several more beyond that.
Newton has a Lisfranc injury to his foot, according to Joe Person of TheAthletic.com. That’s an injury that often requires season-ending surgery, but the report says that’s not expected for Newton.
Still, the Lisfranc injury is generally serious enough that it requires multiple weeks to heal. It seems unlikely that Newton would be back before the Panthers’ Week Seven bye.
With Newton out, Kyle Allen remains the Panthers’ starting quarterback. The only good news for the Panthers is that Allen played very well in Week Three — better, in fact, than Newton played in the first two games of this season. Newton’s long absence may not be the death knell for the Panthers’ season that it would have seemed, but it’s still discouraging that he’s dealing with a serious injury for the second consecutive season.
Lisfranc injury
Lisfranc injury, also known as Lisfranc fracture, is an injury of the foot in which one or more of the metatarsal bones are displaced from the tarsus.
The injury is named after Jacques Lisfranc de St. Martin (2 April 1790–13 May 1847), a French surgeon and gynecologist who noticed this fracture pattern amongst cavalry men, in 1815, after the War of the Sixth Coalition.
... Direct Lisfranc injuries are usually caused by a crush injury, such as a heavy object falling onto the midfoot, or the foot being run over by a car or truck, or someone landing on the foot after a fall from a significant height (like a 275 pound defensive lineman?). Indirect Lisfranc injuries are caused by a sudden rotational force on a plantar flexed (downward pointing) forefoot. Examples of this type of trauma include a rider falling from a horse but the foot remaining trapped in the stirrup, or a person falling forward after stepping into a storm drain....

Ouch. I've had plantar fasciitis, painful as all get out, took forever to heal. This seems worse, especially for a professional athlete.
