Hey Partly, can you help me out on this pro-life teabagger

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Hey Partly, can you help me out on this pro-life teabagger

Unread post by billy.pilgrim »

He’s a Tennessee teabagger super pro-lifer named Desjarlais who came in congress in 2010 but the dude has been screwing his patients, getting them pregnant and then sending them for abortions

He also had his wife get 2 abortions, had an affair with 3 co-workers and prescribed narcotics to the patients he was screwing

I reckon this sort of trash you get when you are part of a movement primarily comprised of idiots who fall for words over deeds – just give em a good bumper sticker slogan and they’ll fight to the death

Pilgrim, politicians lie....didn't you ever figure that one out? Bill Clinton raped one woman, screwed his intern, and lied to a federal grand jury and you people still adore the guy. These leftists stupidly believe that a moral principle is somehow less true simply because a single messenger turns out to be unprincipled....your faux outrage sounds more like idiocy than anything that you have on this sleazy congressman.

More telling is that you are OK with 2000+ babies slaughtered per day in abortion mills, but you are outraged by a lying politician.

come on now partly, you yourself have said that we libs love having affairs and raping women (I disagree with the slaughtering babies thing - I'm against abortion and realize that a larger percentage of the evangelicals have abortion than do liberals - so it looks like politics and religion are of no concern there) but back to the raping and groping liberals - you say we do it - you claim the moral superiority of the teabaggers

I'm just curious why you teabaggers haven't tarred and feathered this guy - rather than voting him back into office

seems a bit hypocritical of the teabaggers

So, you're okay with big brother asking questions about your sex life that have no relevance to any matter before the court? You're that big a champion of an all-intrusive, big-brother government delving into people's private affairs?

I thought maybe you had the brain and spine to insist that a government didn't have the right to go around intruding into people's private affairs. I thought maybe you had the moral clarity to insist that two people do in private stays private unless there is some pressing matter that concerns the state.

I guess I was wrong. You don't have it.

Let's compare that investigation with the one Bush II faced:
"Bin Ladin Public Profile May Presage Attack" (5/3/01)

"Bin Ladin's Networks' Plans Advancing" (5/26/01)

"Bin Ladin Attacks May Be Imminent" (6/23/01)

"Bin Ladin and Associates Making Near-Term Threats" (6/25/01)

"Bin Ladin Planning High-Profile Attacks" (6/30/01)

"Planning for Bin Ladin Attacks Continues, Despite Delays" (7/02/01)

- subject lines of Richard Clarke emails to Bush Administration prior to 9/11/01

"You know, Dick Clarke. Dick Clarke, who was the head of the counterterrorism program in the run-up to 9/11. He obviously missed it."
- Dick Cheney, on Richard Clarke

"Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S."
- Presidential Daily Brief, August 6, 2001

"All right, you've covered your ass now."
- George W. Bush, to the CIA briefer who warned him about an imminent bin Laden strike, August 6, 2001
Now look at a whole lot more warnings received, some of them rather specific. Remember, all these warnings about Bin Laden are just what's been made public.

Clinton getting a BJ was declared to be of vital national importance by the Republicans. They did everything but demand that he get re-blown on the Senate floor. ("We must know exactly what happened!!!) Everything had to be done in public and under oath, and every word published.

Not so with 9/11, when they investigated what warnings the President received.

The White House wanted to limit any appearance by the president to just one hour spent with two of the commissioners. Bush II did eventually meet with the Commission, but only under stringent conditions: Bush had to have Dick Cheney at his side, testifying at the same time; testimony was given in private and NOT UNDER OATH; no press coverage was allowed; and no recordings or transcripts were made of what they said.

Do you believe, even for an instant, that there isn't some damning piece of evidence they kept unpublished? Do you honestly believe that Clinton getting a BJ was of greater national importance than the warnings ignored by Bush II and his cronies?

No matter how dishonerable or untrustworthy you consider Clinton, he's still far more honorable and trustworthy than any recent Republican president. Or Romney, or any of the other candidates in the Republican primaries.
