Clash of the 6-6 Titans tonight - Go Bears, maul those Cowboys!
Daaaa Bears....We're running da table!!

Excuse me, I need another pork chop and polish sausage before my third heart attack.
Whoa, he really Trubiskyed those Cowboys.

Should be easy here on out, just GB, KC and MN.
Shocking.

They'll get pretty healthy before the final run. Getting Akiem Hicks back is really a huge deal.

Never say never, but I'm not holding my breath (just hope they beat the effing Pack!).

It MIGHT turn out that you knocked the Cowboys out of the Playoffs. :-||

Baltimore 24-17, good game.
@Green Bay > Washington. Sorry, GoCubsGo.
Green Bay 20-15 :thumbup: .
@Houston > Denver. Not my norm, but I like Houston most in the AFC South.
Denver 38-24, doesn't ruin my day.
Detroit > @Minnesota. I like them both, but I'll root for your Wild Card hopes, GoCubsGo.
Nope, 7-20.
San Francisco > @New Orleans. But I don't hate New Orleans.
Wow, New Orleans wins by 1 on a Brees thrown, of course, TD with 0:53 left, missed the 2pt try. San Francisco 4th and 2, a Kittle eat Saints, too. 39 yard catch and run, walkoff 30 yard field goal, first ever 48-46 final.
@NY Jets > Miami. Not that it matters.
Yes, by 1.
@Tampa Bay > Indianapolis. Unlikely to matter, though.
Yes, by 3.
5-3 for my hopes, they weren't my predictions.

Definitely did not look like a Super Bowl deserving team. Of course, neither did the Pats, for what that's worth.

Nice of their offense to show up, better late than never. Wow, in OT. Looks like Dallas still has the tiebreaker, but it all could come down to Dallas @Philadelphia in Week 16.

Worst division ever. With 3 games left, the winner could be 7-9.

I do support the A's. Even attend their games every year (not all of them).
I understand. I'm still a fan until they actually leave, then fuck 'em.

I don't hate Vegas, maybe I'll get over it after awhile. I never did accept the LA Raiders.

I think a team, as a corporation, ought to be able to move whenever they want - although I'd probably require them to have made some reasonable settlement about any public money spent for a stadium on their behalf. But I don't think they ought to be allowed to take the team name, its logo, or its records. Decades later, I've not forgiven the Irsays. Plus, you can get some weird teams. Imagine the Phoenix Dolphins? Maybe Oakland Steelers.

Anyway, I'd let the Raider name/logo go dormant until or unless another Oakland team took it over, and let Las Vegas pick another name, maybe Coyotes or Desert Rats.

Ten former NFL players have been charged with defrauding the league’s health care benefit program, the Justice Department said Thursday.

They include five former players on the Washington ********, including Clinton Portis and Carlos Rogers....

These bullshit Advantage programs were created to privatize (destroy) Medicare. They are a slippery slope at best.

Agreed about Medicare Advantage and its shills.

I have a vague memory of liking Portis for something funny or inspiring he would do, but I couldn't find it skimming his Wiki page. He's claiming innocence, we'll see. Supposedly, bad business managers wiped him out, sad.

Tonight: New York Jets at Baltimore Ravens
I'm almost embarrassed by what I expect the result to be, especially since I don't hate the Jets.
Lamar Jackson:
Going to top Michael Vick's single season QB rushing record tonight.
Done :-|| , + TD drive on 1st possession, 7-0.
Is #1 in TD passes, but only #25 in pass attempts.

3 possessions, 3TDs, 21-7. The Ravens' punter is studying to be a Maytag repairman when he retires.

L. Jackson:
15/23, 65.2%, 212 yards, 5TDs, 0 INTs
8 carries, 86 yards, 10.8 avg
:-||

42-21. RG3 in to finish the last half of the 4th quarter.

L. Jackson 2019, 14 games:
66.2%, 2889 Yds, 7.8 Yd/A, 33 TDs!, 6 Int!, 112.8 Rating
159 Rush, 1103 Yds, 6.9 Yd/Rush, 7 TDs

Tom Brady has 600 carries for 1,035 yards and 22 touchdowns . . . in his career. Jackson has 12 rushing touchdowns in 1 1/3 years as a starter. Jackson may or may not have a great career, but this looks to be one of the great QB regular seasons of all time.

LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is the "clear frontrunner" for the Heisman Trophy. He's older than frontrunner for the NFL MVP Lamar Jackson.
Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson ties franchise record for touchdown passes in blowout of Jets

... It was Jackson’s fifth touchdown pass of the game and his 33rd of the season, tying the franchise record Vinny Testaverde set in 1996....

Jackson leads the NFL in touchdown passes this season and has also thrown for five scores in three different games this year. Nobody else in the league has accomplished that feat more than once....
O Really, here's an instance where a team that moved did what you prefer:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltimore_Ravens
The Ravens were established in 1996, after Art Modell, who was then the owner of the Cleveland Browns, announced plans to relocate the franchise from Cleveland to Baltimore in 1995. As part of a settlement between the league and the city of Cleveland, Modell was required to leave the Browns' history and records in Cleveland for a replacement team and replacement personnel that would take control in 1999. In return, he was allowed to take his own personnel and team to Baltimore, where such personnel would then form an expansion team.

Go (preferences, not predictions):

Seattle > @Carolina
@Cincinnati > New England, yeah right
@Detroit > Tampa Bay
Chicago > @Green Bay, in solidarity with GoCubsGo, I like both
Denver > @Kansas City
Miami (3-10) vs @NY Giants (2-11), Loser Bowl, no preference
Houston (8-5) vs @Tennessee (8-5), AFC South Bowl?, no preference
Philadelphia (6-7) @Washington, gotta beat those Cowboys out of a Playoff spot
Cleveland > @Arizona
Minnesota > @LA Chargers
@Oakland > Jacksonville
LA Rams > @Dallas (6-7)
@San Francisco > Atlanta
Buffalo vs @Pittsburgh, Sun night. Hmmm, I want Buffalo to make up the 1 game deficit vs New England, but I also want Pittsburgh to retain the #6 seed, no preference for now
@New Orleans > Indianapolis, Mon night

"LA Chargers" is still an obscene term around here. There was a somewhat-but-not-entirely-serious effort to get the TV stations to broadcast most any other game in place of Chargers games. But it's not like the stations actually have a choice. So every Sunday, the formerly extremely loyal citizens of San Diego have to have the traitor Chargers as a featured game.
