The Religion Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Yeah, these people are trump cult members without a doubt. They exemplify the "poorly educated" that trump gushes over. Several grammatical errors on their website. And it's been over six hours since I sent Rodney my email; if it hasn't come back as undeliverable by now, it won't. I urge all who care about and enjoy calling out fake Christians to write now before they get wise (become wise cunt attention seeking whores, as ratten would put it) and start rejecting the thousands of emails they should be getting about now. Let's show Rodney how we feel about him.
One quibble: One could also call Lusty Luffman a 'biblically accurate Christian.

Hell, those treacherous fuckers are liable to burn their own church down for the insurance money and then blame blacks for it. I'm lucky to have gotten my diatribe in under the wire. I bet they're still bitching about it and sharing among themselves the depravity I've accused them all of being part of. They'll never get over it.

Did you forward to the others? I thought you only wrote the Pervy Pastor.

Thanks. So far, it looks like only the Pastor's Wife has disabled her account. My other CCs, even the one to the Pervy Pastor, have not bounced.

Praise the Lord! I myself only sent a note to the pastor. I guess they don't have access to his account; not surprising, since it likely contains more evidence of his sinful wretched existence. I may have to spread the gospel to those remaining few who have not forsaken all things yahoo.

Site That Called Impeachment a 'Jew Coup' Got Passes for Trump Trip

It’s easy to assume evil intent on the part of the POSPOTUS Klan in supporting bigoted rightwing TruNews, and that very well may be the case. However, we have all learned by now that the POSPOTUS Klan is also capable of monumental stupidity and incompetence. It’s not like quality people are willing to ruin their resumes by working for Dolt .45.

I've not heard a peep either. Of course, I suspect Rodney is still in jail, so he can't send me his daily prayer blessing, which really sucks. For him. Until those other Christians do something vile enough to make me recognize their existence, they remain a black hole of ignorance and likely incestuous goings on. I still say they'll burn down their own church for insurance money; and be caught. But they will play the Christian thing all the way down.

I don't know why, but I'm still amazed that, among others, the religious people can't seem to grasp the concept of "if it applies to me, it applies to them." Reminds me of the different view today's gun nuts had on gun control back when the Black Panthers had guns.

Kentucky Atheist Awarded $150,000 In Fight Over Vanity License Plates

If you’re looking for God, keep your eyes peeled for a white Jeep Grand Cherokee with custom Kentucky plates that read “IM GOD.”

You may not find the Almighty behind the wheel, but you’re likely at least to encounter Ben Hart. The self-identified atheist sued the state in 2016 after he was denied the vanity plate because it was “vulgar or obscene.”

A U.S. District Court ruled in Hart’s favor last November. Last week, the court also ordered the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to pay $150,000 in attorney’s fees and litigation costs to the American Civil Liberties Union and the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the groups that backed the three-year suit.

Hart told Kentucky’s FOX19 he hopes his plates raise awareness that religious beliefs are open to individual interpretation. As for the specific claim made on the plates, he has an answer for that, too:
“I can prove I’m God. You can’t prove I’m not. Now, how can I prove I’m God? Well, there are six definitions for God in the American Heritage Dictionary, and number five is a very handsome man, and my wife says I’m a very handsome man, and nobody argues with my wife.”
The court ruled in Hart’s favor as a matter of free speech, noting Kentucky has previously approved pro-religious plates like “IM4GOD,” “ASKGOD,” GR8GOD,” and “LUVGOD.”
:---P
As for the issue of vulgarity, the state also previously signed off on plates reading “BOOGR” and “FATA55,” effectively undercutting that argument.

Hart had similar plates on his car when he lived in Ohio, where they were approved without issue.

I saw that the other day that he finally got his license plate. He should drive to the Noah's Ark religious gimcrack tourist park and park in a conspicuous place; the faithful will go "god has come" and best of all, the cat fan really will feel at home in KY since they have the Wildcats.

Score one for the good side (if not necessarily the good guys). Seventh Day Adventists bring more religious lawsuits than all the rest combined.
Most are lame and/or set-ups.

Because he cites the Idaho State Journal ? Could be, Pocatello is majority Mormon, but maybe someone sent him the link or it was just what popped up when he googled?

Last I knew supsalemgr lived in a gated community right here in Hooterville, NC, but maybe that changed in the last 6 years or so.

I don't know where he lives/lived, but I'm pretty sure I met him years ago when the BRN forum was alive. I met him at meet-n-greet where he proceeded to spout right-wing yammer while trying to sell me some insurance or "financial planning." His style, verbiage, and in fact specific lines showed up in supysales posts. He'd also write in to the AC-T from time to time, and what he wrote there was very similar to his posts. Fools like him shouldn't be allowed to breed.
