Jaysus boys, I'm losin' my ass

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Jaysus boys, I'm losin' my ass

Unread post by Greg55_99 »

Looks like I'll have to wait a few years to retire! This market is knocking my 401K to it's knees. On days like this though, it's nice to have a military pension. Does ANYONE here have ANY confidence the Trump Administration will handle this disaster with dispatch?

2017: Still Obama’s strong economy while he reduced the deficit 5 years out of 8 and kept it essentially stable one other year.
Since 2017: Illusion of economic strength financed by Trump and the GOP’s massive deficit increase. Anyone can do that.

Dow Jones 1/20/17: 19827.25
Dow Jones 3/18/17: 19,472.56

Today, high noon is when Obama’s strong markets and 45SHOLE's faux markets were both fully cancelled.

Donald Trump signing a printout of the large stock market gains a few days ago is gonna be akin to the "Mission Accomplished" photo op by Bush II.

Yer from away, aintcha?

First, there's Trump himself, but past that, he has appointed only incompetent, unqualified toadies, dumping the career professionals in every government agency/department. Even if one made the lucicrous assumption that Trump would make good decisions if he got good advice, there's still no basis of ANY confidence.

Yesterday mine was down 26%!
Before the coronavirus tumble:
Dow Jones 2/21/20: 28994.58
Dow Jones 2/21/20: 19,607.35 (it's climbing a little this afternoon)

The DJIA is down 32.4% in it's trumpavirus crash.

That pic is already worth more than some portfolios.

I can't fathom how someone can be so unfathomably goddamn stupid.

If I were president and a narcissist and really wanted to boast about a stock market recovery, I would've at least waited a few weeks to see how things panned out so I didn't make myself look like a "fucking moron" as Rex Tillerson would say.
