In case you guys were wondering, pot stores remain open.

By order of San Diego County, retail cannabis stores remain open at this time.

San Francisco County considers cannabis “essential” at this time. Lounges are closed. Physical distancing required. Pre-orders online encouraged. Delivery services report being open.

Also, Nevada closed down all "non-essential" business, and included the state's biggest industry and second leading source of taxes (casinos) as non-essential, along with restaurants, other entertainment venues, etc. They listed examples of "essential" like grocery, pharmacy, banks, etc. Interesting though that neither in the essential nor non-essential lists did they mention legal sex workers.
I get to renew my prescription by phone with doctor.
What about pet stores? I need to load up on more bags of cat kibble and canned food for mamacat and the ferals...
Tough call. I have 50 lbs of flour and meal, 20 frozen chickens, 30 cans of mackerel and a pressure cooker.

Does Amazon still deliver?
I believe so but it looks like ordered are delayed. One item I've ordered won't arrive for a week vs the normal 2 day shipping.

Lots of FedEx, UPS and Amazon trucks out. And Amazon says it's hiring 100K people to handle the increase in orders.

Watching today's presser - looks like they MAY be practicing some half-assed social distancing at the podium, MAYBE 3 feet or maybe the change is my imagination. Looks like the media are practicing social distancing, lots of empty chairs and decent spacing.

Ideas for what to do with deliveries?

Are you bringing virus into your home?

I've read several articles that say that virus doesn't live very long on cardboard, and drivers/companies are taking additional precautions with gloves, wipes, truck cleaning, etc. Mainly they say don't let the delivery person themselves into the house. If you're getting some other kind of delivery, like food, it seems the risk there is very low from the food, but again, keep the delivery person outside, pay with a card, clean the card. And tip the delivery guy well - they are are least in theory risking their health/life to bring you your stuff. After they've gone, you can wipe anywhere they might have touched, even with their gloves.

The disconnect is already shaping, even distorting, the nation’s response.

I fully support the Republican governors’ tepid response, along with the Dolt .45 Klan not practicing social distancing during their press conferences. The heck with the unanimous epidemiologists, let god sort it out.

For we right handers is it better to cough/sneeze into the right elbow which is closer to the right hand, or the left elbow which is more likely to be touched by the right hand?

It didn't read clear to me the first time, so I added a few words.
Good idea. It's one of those little things that can make a big difference but are often overlooked. I had never stopped to think about this.
I have always sneezed left or into a handkerchief in my right hand. Time to change these and other bad habits of mine.

You came to a conclusion as to best elbow for a right hander?

I would suggest it doesn't matter, since either elbow can be touched by the opposite hand. But how often do you expect to need to touch your elbow and would hand-iness affect that anyway?

I'm assuming that a right hander touches more objects with her/his right, thus spreading more virus with it. If you're correct that an elbow is rarely touched, sneeze left.

Well if you cross your arms a lot, you'd be touching elbows, but again both elbows are touched by both hands. And if you sit in a chair with armrests, you're rubbing your scummy elbows on the chair, then put the virus back on your hands when you get up. On the other hand, if you'd just snuz in the air, it would be somebody else's problem (joke, dammit! Joke!)
