Re: Coronavirus
What's everyone's prediction about how this thing is gonna pan out?
Do you think there's going to be some massive societal changes?
This event is beginning to feel on par with 9/11. Maybe even surpass it in terms of impact. Maybe it's still too soon to tell, but I feel as if nobody really has any idea and therein lies some of the anxiety.

most of us would be worried about that, and the
rest would still be over at LNFMedRen.com, basing
our conjectures on the fact of HIV embedded in COV19.

Unfortunately, Numbnuts is going to revert to form, he's already running scared of the Dow and a recession.
Also, not happy with the MSM coverage of his goof ass "press conferences". It's going to be the governors that make the difference.

Roosevelt: "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself"
Churchill: “Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
Truman: "The buck stops here."
Kennedy: "We choose to go to the moon..."
R. Kennedy: "Some men see things as they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not."
Trump: "I take no responsibility."
Trump: Tweets.
When you know the President* is lying, and you know very few if any have the nerve to contradict him with the truth, being afraid is a survival strategy.

Re: Coronavirus
Not long ago, before the advent of this virus, I had posted somewhere here (I thought it was in the Global warming thread, but can't find the post I am thinking of and don't know how to search for it) I posted a comment that I believe the cause of the end of human civilization will be some killer virus that hadn't been seen before and which cannot be stopped. And as an aside, back in the 80's the other guys at work used to call me Nostra(my name) comparing me to Nostradamus on account of more than a few predictions I made about things that would happen at the place we worked. I wasn't too much ahead of this current scene, but still.......Whack9 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 11:11 pmWhat's everyone's prediction about how this thing is gonna pan out?

I use garlic salt (only Lawry's) on my salads and I will sprinkle it on burgers and steaks before grilling them. Also use garlic cloves in the marinade I make for kebobs and have done so for decades. I've not noticed any loss of taste, smell, or seen any vampires. I'm satisfied.Vrede too wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 9:33 amUlysses wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 12:13 amLost sense of smell may be peculiar clue to coronavirus infectionAccording to Kelly and Ryan at the CDC, bizarrely appearing from their own homes, curry and garlic are other foods that this happens with. Re: Coronavirus
The music festival I had booked for may has been cancelled. They're issuing refunds. I'm cancelling my trip to the bay area in April, the show I was going to attend out there is also cancelled.
Wild times.
Looks like the city of Gville has instituted an 11pm - 6am downtown curfew, and falls park has been closed for the time being.
I'd imagine next up is gonna be the swamp rabbit trail and some state parks.
