Coronavirus Rules

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

That's what 1cat said that Rahm Emanuel said.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

The reverse is also true; in the midst of opportunity, there is also chaos. Witness fracking, as well as the bundling of sub prime mortgages into "investments" that magically became "toxic". Even at that, Wall St. was the big winner; they worked the opportunity as well as the chaos to their own advantage. It was opporchaosatunity.

Its a running list.

"when asked about states' rights to decide when to reopen schools and businesses"
Yesterday trump said, "The president of the United States calls the shots." (as seen when he encouraged civil disorder in 3 battleground states today)

A casual reading suggests that trump will call the shots, but this also backs trump into a corner requiring him to call the shots, so wiley trump hedges his bets with a simple contradictory statement:

"Over the next very short period of time it's going to be up to the governors, we're going to work with, we're going to help them but it's going to be up to the governors," Trump said. "I think they're going to – I think you're going to see quite a few states starting to open."

No matter what happens, trump made the call and signed the get out and vote checks
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

102 years later people grew sick of the social distancing measures as they dragged on into the Fall of 2020. When the great embarrassment finally ended in early November, people took to the streets to celebrate their good fortune. In the coming weeks, the second wave of the pandemic killed more people than the first wave had. It’s not a game…”
