PINO's now saying that he may get involved, but I'll bet that the WH was already involved in the firing and Modly's trip to the ship, and it may have even ordered both.
I agree. Nobody in trump world gets fired without trump being in charge of it.

Fortunately this November the American people will have the final word,
or fallen for the spin.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”
I was offered several petitions to the media asking them to quit airing PINO's pressers, and the media is now limiting them somewhat. Despite missing some remote and rerun Ellen Shows , I did not sign the petitions. In principle, I support POTUS updates and addresses during a crisis. I also like seeing VP Q-tip being emasculated daily and had a hunch that IMPOSPOTUS was hurting himself more than he was helping.

... Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said on "CBS This Morning" on Friday that a reinstatement of Crozier is not off the table, and no decision will be made until an investigation is complete.
"When I replaced the acting Navy secretary three days ago, I called him and the chief of naval operations into my office. I gave them some guidance. One of the things I told them is this: No further action will be taken against Captain Crozier until the investigation is completed, and once that's completed, we'll see where that takes us," Esper said....
I’m sorry to read about USS Theodore Roosevelt crew illness, but I’m proud of them for still going into battle, led by Captain Brett Crozier, with fired acting Secretary of the Navy Thomas Modly, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and the lifelong cowardly Chickenhawk in Chief and emerging victorious.
I’m not holding my breath, but won’t it be something if Crozier is reinstated?!
If you want to achieve greatness stop asking for permission.
1312. ETTD. 86 47.
Yeah, that would be the right thing to do. I know I would not want to be the new CO on that ship in this situation; you would be an object of resentment right off. I bet the former CO is put back.
The current trump tweet "The Art of an Oil Deal" celebrates the fact that trump and others have managed to convince OPEC and others to decrease production so that prices will go up for all of us and the oil companies will make more profits. This is a good example of how gullible cult fools will gush in awe and vote against their own interest just to be part of a cult of ignorance. sad

But hey, they getting a trump 20/20 stimulating check signed by the man hisownself.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”
Well of course it will delay the checks - it's trump. But rest assured, come Oct there will be an ad proclaiming, "remember when I sent you that stimulus check? blah blah blah"

Been watching trump at his daily virus conference. It's really comical and actually pathetic when he attempts to read a written statement; the moron can barely read, only looks up from the text when he flubs a pronunciation, stumbles over common multi syllable words, and often inserts an ad lib brag about something he's done or that's happened is "incredible" and "best in the world, not even close" which he did at least three times...... It truly is incredible that anyone with any brains at all can support this clown. He was only on for about twenty minutes and then ambled off the stage. I plan to go back and watch more when the questions from the press portion starts; this is when he lies profusely and gets all out of whack, if that's even possible. I'm looking forward to that part; so much whining.......
edit; opps! trump must have had a stroke or been smitten by some divine thunderbolt.....Fox went back to regular programming. Damn, I was really looking forward to some juvenile whining.
It's occasionally nice to imagine what this mess would be like if anybody but Trump were in the White House. F'rinstance, Gavin Newsom would probably have a national task force similar to the one he's assembled for California:
"Tom Steyer, the billionaire environmentalist and former Democratic presidential candidate, will co-chair the group, along with Newsom’s chief of staff, Ann O’Leary. Other members include Disney’s Bob Iger, Apple’s Tim Cook, Janet Yellen, and former governors Jerry Brown, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gray Davis and Pete Wilson. Brown and Davis are Democrats, Schwarzenegger and Wilson, Republicans."
A total of 80 people from pretty much all aspects of society.
Well, I don't know why, but again today I watched the trump shit show and sure enough he trotted out his favorite lie, twice, that China is paying billions and billions of dollars to the US because of his tariffs. He also whined about fake news for about three minutes. And then he whipped out one of the favorite but but but Obama wingnut lies......that the US paid hundreds of millions of dollars to Iran but nobody from the press batted an eye or even made an attempt to call bullshit, that that money was Iran's money all along; it was money for jets and military stuff that we never delivered but was bought by the Shah before the 79 Iranian revolution. The money had been sitting somewhere here since then and we just gave it back to them (with interest, I think). And for the finale, trump accused John Kerry of violating the Logan Act because he signed the Iran nuclear deal with Iran. The shit clown failed to mention the other signatories to the deal, as if Kerry did it on his own. Again, nobody batted an eye at any of this bullshit. He also denied any responsibility for the "end the shutdown" protests by cultists and wingnuts, saying that "people do things without being told to do them." The fact that these protests did not occur until after he tweeted about the "liberation" of some states also was not mentioned. And he whipped out the old "they want to take your guns away" bullshit when someone asked about Senator Kaine getting hot with Pence on the phone the other day. He talked about how "terrible" Kaine is and how him and the Virginia governor have put "your second amendment under siege." Overall, quite a shit show.

To sum up his latest litany of lies:
1) China isn't paying for the tariffs Trump slapped on goods from there; American consumers (and manufacturers) are paying for the tariffs.
2) The biggest fake news comes directly out of Trump's mouth.
3) Obama didn't give Iran $billions. Like you said, this was just Iranian money we had (illegally) refused to give back to them after they overthrew the Shah.
4-X) Too many to list.
What boggles my brainpan is that none of the press ever shouts out "bullshit" or "wait" or anything else when trump squawks this nonsense. I can't imagine myself being a reporter and sitting there listening to this drivel. All I can figure is that there mus be some rule that nobody from the press can say anything until they're called on to ask questions, But even then, no one challenges him on any of this. I imagine myself, as a reporter, just getting up and walking out when he does that shit or maybe just standing up and turning my back on him. I'd love it if the next time he pulls this stunt, all the reporters would just get up and leave. But the OAN and other wingnut media reps would not participate, which would just give them more time to spout nonsense.

What bothers me more is watching them fall all over themselves gushing praise every time they fantasize that he's going to act presidential about something that any normal person would be respectful about, but anyone with a brain who has been watching him knows that there is no chance that he will.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”
I don't fault them all that much for not challenging him more at his ummm, "briefings" because it would only get them tossed. But it drives me nutz when they keep playing something stupid he said, over and over, and act like it means something. He says something there's no way he can do "I'm going to shut down Congress" and the press says solomnly, "Today President Trump said he was going to shut down Congress" and play the clip again. Do that several times and you've got a lot of people running around convinced that Congress has already been shut down. Why aren't they saying "Trump claims he can shut down Congress, but of course according to X-Y-Z he won't be able to do that."

Kinda boils down to:
the press treats him as if he is a real president
he treats them as if he weren't any kind of president
then they treat him as if he will be the best real president next time
and then ...
It's just the old Charlie Brown, Lucy and the football routine and the ratings are outstanding (in the field, as uncle Al still says).
