Coronavirus

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Study: Americans trust Fauci more than Trump or their own governors

Dr. Anthony Fauci is cited most often as the official Americans rely on for information regarding the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new study.

The study released Wednesday found Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was chosen by 45% of those surveyed, while participants' "own state's governor" was cited by 35%, and President Donald Trump by 20%....

The actions by local and state governments were rated higher at 54% than the federal response, which 39% of respondents rated as poor....

A new USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll similarly found that Americans by double-digit margins said the federal government is doing too little to deal with the health and economic repercussions of coronavirus....
Caveat: It's a national survey and "own state's governor" includes poor ones like FL's DeSantis (R) and GA's Kemp (R), or good ones like MI's Whitmer (D), MD's Hogan (R) and CA's Newsom (D).

You don't ever look past the Ds and Rs, do you?

Poor argry vred never stopped to see that the biggest problems have much less to do with politics than location, but he needed to critize.

He never noticed that the worst hit states are dem states.
Even his example of sane state MI against insane state Florida is another major angry vred fail

Ummm, I praised an R. Pay attention. I would have also praised OH's DeWine (R), but I blanked on his name. In fact, not that I'm complaining, you're usually more partisan than me, as is O Really. Does he annoy you, too? For example, there's the way that y'all lit into .Oomba. for merely saying that PP's libertarian post was sensible.

I don't "love" NC, too purple for me.
Who wouldn't want their state to be "in the sane column"? You're so desperate in whining about me that you're posting nonsense.
I didn't mention Gov Cooper (D), goofball, but since you're whining about it - .
You're cowering from the fact that I praised an R in my OP and then another one in my followup.
You're cowering from the point that you and O Really are both usually more partisan than me.

Yep, you obediently joined in with Ulysses. You always do.

What part of "not that I'm complaining" is unclear to you, idiot? I merely supported the fact that you are usually more partisan than me with an example. Now, you're cowering from that truth.

Ummm, you are the one that got so "argry [sic]" over my nonpartisan post that your "needed to critize [sic]" me for it being partisan. Project much?

This survey and my OP is about governors, imbecile. State numbers are different and lots of factors go into them, duh. It's a scream that you get so butthurt over nothing that you completely lost track.

A Tale of Two Hospitals

Unread post by billy.pilgrim »

Baptist Hospital: if you have symptoms, you can make an appointment - currently the GB location is taking appointments for May 11 and Pensacola has 1 opening for Monday.
You drive up, call the number, they come out in hazmat suits and escort you into the building with the other symptomatic people and then swab your nose.

Sacred Heart: again, symptoms are required, but you stay in your car and they come out and swab your nose.

Why don't you quit beating around the bush and just man-up and admit that you've decided that DeSantis is a great gov solely because I dissed him, pussy.

doesn't pass a simply math test.

Pathetic.
