Re: Coronavirus
So we grew tired of looking with big puppy eyes at the closed Canadian border and arrived in Coeur D'Alene ID, a charming town on a beautiful lake with piles of hiking, biking, and scenery opportunities. Idaho, a state with a population about half of San Diego County, has proclaimed itself in "stage 3" after having had relatively good fortune with the virus all along. So one would think the people in Idaho would think, with minimal coercion, that "hey, we've really been lucky and stuff is open - I'll bet if we all wear masks and still keep a reasonable distance, we can totally get rid of this health threat." But nooooo. It looks like there has never been a pandemic. Few masks around, crowds on sidewalks, crowding in restaurants, etc., churches open, stores selling, yada. Washington licence plates everywhere, escaping from the level 1 and 2 restrictions, happily taking their Idaho germs back home.
Idiots.

Probably won't just be the EU. The world is building a de facto wall, and Americans are paying for it by being restricted. Thanks PINO and Moscow Mitch!

Re: Coronavirus
Trump's Bizarre COVID-19 Question Gets Plenty Of Answers On Twitter
... In April, counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway slammed the World Health Organization’s response to the pandemic and suggested it should have been better prepared because of all the previous COVIDs.
“This is COVID-19 ― not COVID-1, folks,” Conway said. “And so you would think the people charged with the World Health Organization would be on top of that.”
Trump’s out-loud musings about the “19” part of the illness’s name received the treatment on Twitter:Trump: “Wonder Woman 1984? I never saw the first 1,983 of them!”Some people can’t explain what happened to the first 181 BlinksI liked 2001: A Space Odyssey, but I think I should have watched the first 2000 to get the full context."What's the 19" SAYS THE MAN IN CHARGE OF THE NATIONAL COVID19 RESPONSE

Re: Coronavirus
The stupidity of these people is beyond words. Not even so much in what they don't know/understand, but in how little they know about what they don't know, and how willing they are to demonstrate their ignorance and apparently be proud of their ignorance. Consider another person (any person) with Trump's (probably coerced) student audience, who might say: "There was at first a lot of misinformation about the name 'COVID-19. Just to clarify, it stands for 'Corona Virus Disease' which began in 2019." There - he would sound more like the stable genius he thinks he is instead of a blithering fool he really is.

Re: Coronavirus
Not likely. No one in their right mind visits SC in the summer only to have to also suffer a 14-day quarantine upon return to NJ.
Feasible to enforce this for people traveling by public transport, but does anyone know how it's enforced for drivers? Are there check stations at the borders on all roads?

Sometimes I wonder how I managed to go from quite possibly the dumbest part of the Northeast (South Jersey), to the one of the dumbest parts of the Southeast.
