But not anymore, thanks to Kylin.

The best part is imagining all the racists who shit themselves when they realized that they may never win another game.
It hasn't been changed yet, and I don't think anyone is giving Kylin Hill all of the credit for the MS House vote. A lot of people have been working on this.

Faith Hill (no relation ;) ) even called for change two days ago:

Lots of people involved, but the real momentum came Monday. Within a couple of days the coaches were on board.
You don't get any more important in Alabama or Mississippi than football players and coaches.

I think it's done

They keep trying. Ol Miss is paying their head coach 4 million a year and State is paying 5 million. Football is very important.

My kid says the sec decision not to have the baseball tournament there is what did it.
Granted, there were lots of reasons

The NCAA rapidly followed suit, for all tournaments:
viewtopic.php?p=122662#p122662

It does look like the MS schools do better in baseball than other sports:
... On Thursday, the SEC announced it would no longer hold conference-sponsored championship events in Mississippi until the state flag is changed. The move came with calls for change from administrators at both Ole Miss and Mississippi State, but lacked real consequences. None of the SEC's high-profile events are held in Mississippi.

But both schools consistently field highly ranked baseball teams and host NCAA tournament games. Mississippi State's women's basketball team has hosted early round NCAA games four times since 2010....

In a joint statement, the presidents and chancellors of Mississippi's public institutions vowed to work to change the state flag....
Makes sense that it would have an impact. Does anyone go to Mississippi other than for sports? :D

Ouch!
Seems like more than...
Don't let your sons play for DJ Durkin - Chicago Tribune
Parents, don't send your kids to Maryland to play football. Just don't do it. It's not a university, it's a canker sore with a couple of dormitories strapped to its suppurating side. Don't let your son so much as look at an application. At best he will get all the wrong lessons in manhood, take courses in deceit, and spinelessness. At worst he may wind up twitching on the ground, or even in a hospital issuing a death hiss. It's not a safe place for athletes, or students. It's a place for belly snakes. To quote Bette Davis, "What a dump."
https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/c ... story.html
More from the Chicago Tribune: At Maryland, your son will not be in the care of responsible administrators, but rather sneaking infighters and influence peddlers who debase and dirty a university education. Whose combination of arrogance and lethal stupidity has made them a national laughingstock, yet who don't even realize it.

Does this description of the College Park salvage yard — I won't dignify it with the term campus — sound harsh? To the ears of Jordan McNair's parents, it doesn't even begin.

Can you see a circumstance where any football is played?

Something Maryland and the state of Illinois have been accustomed to, not having football.

Idk.
Probably not college.
MAYBE there's enough pro money to cobble together teams with players and staff willing to be quarantined.

I considered posting that.

It's not just football. Clemson won't open as planned due to the SC surge. Maybe 1 FAT CAN will call them wimps, too.

I don't see any significant amount of any contact sport without an effective vaccine.

With a college football season on the brink, Jim Harbaugh pushes for football to be played in 2020

You lose, Jimmy, just like your team since you arrived with so much fanfare.

PINO whining:

Donald Trump's latest tweets!
Play College Football!
The student-athletes have been working too hard for their season to be cancelled. #WeWantToPlay https://t.co/lI3CCKZ4ID
His link is to an epidemiology and virology ignorant tweet from evangelical Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence.

Aside: If the ACC cancels this could be one of the comparatively better Autumns for UNC in a long time. :P

Why, is anybody going to notice if the 'Heels don't have games scheduled? It's not like they actually show up anyway.

My point. Their record will be just as good as Clemson and the rest of the ACC. ;)

Pussies, no one said we can't oppose hitler and the nazis just because some people might die. Same then as today - we need college football players to entertain us.

Lou Holtz was born in 1937. He was in ROTC and then "earned a commission as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army Reserve at the time of his graduation from college."

Apparently, he never volunteered for Vietnam despite being only 28 when LBJ escalated in 1965. Funny that.

Showing off more of his new rules, it's all about me bullshit, Scott Frost attempted to defy the new Big 10 commissioner and stated publicly just this week that Nebraska will storm the beaches at Normandy or play non-confrence games or wink wink, play other Big 10 teams that refuse to follow conference rules. He also claimed that Nebraska is #1 and requested a parade in his honor. But the new commissioner didn't get involved in a pissing contest with the coach who makes up his own rules; instead he calmly answered a reporter's question about Frost going rouge,

“'No,” he said, firmly. “Not and be a member of the Big Ten Conference.'"

After thinking about Scott's decision to do something that would get Nebraska kicked out of the big 10, I'm beginning to wonder if this is really a ploy to get back into a minor conference where he can win easy games and claim bogus National Championships.
