2020 Elections

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Overt voter suppression by a democratically elected official. Attempting to take away the most basic democratic civil right.

One of these days, someone is going to say no mas and in a state like Texas it won't end well.

Dana Bash on CNN: That was a shit show.
This explains a lot, including why he didn't have to prepare.

some guy named "Kennison wrote:

"Joe Biden is a stutterer. Like many others, he has overcome the disability by understanding it and exercising extraordinary perseverance and discipline. If you know and love a stutterer and you watched the presidential debate last night, within minutes it became obvious what was going on. Abusive tone of voice, rapid fire interruptions, zigzagging change of topic, personal insult and humiliation, and family pain are all tripwires that scramble a stutterer's ability to speak. There was nothing unplanned or spontaneous in the President's strategy. The bastards did not prep him to attack Joe. They prepped him to attack Joe's disability hoping that by triggering his stuttering they might deceive an audience unfamiliar with the disability into thinking that Joe was stupid, weak, uncertain, confused, or lost to dementia."

People familiar with stuttering explain why Biden's debate performance was extraordinary

Makes sense, I'm proud of Joe for coping.

I have an additional thought - PINO (and Putin) want Americans to be disgusted with the whole process. When masses just stay home 45SHOLE does better since his Trumpette minority is more rabid than we tepid Biden voters.

I myself am counting on some of the trump "poll watchers" confronting me or doing virtually anything that I may construe as intimidation or threats. I am now engaged in preparing my verbal response to them in a way that will make them either struck dumb or cry. I still have thirteen days to work on it before early voting here.

Scenerio:

Biden also gets Covid and doesn't make it, but Trump survives.

If that happens I'm joining a UFO cult out west or something because events are simply too uncannily weird for something to not be pulling the strings.

Let's throw another 2020 bone out there: Biden wins and contracts covid and dies before inauguration, but Trump pulls through.

How about this one? trump dies, Pence dies, GOP runs Devin Nunes in their place. Devin crashes and burns, soon gets the virus and becomes paralyzed in the mouth, Biden becomes president, trump never gets prosecuted, and the rest of the family is broke and sick with the virus and have to apply for welfare and Medicaid.

Trifecta vulnerability in the 2020 elections

Gubernatorial or state legislative elections are taking place in 42 states in 2020. Trifecta status is at stake in all 42 states. A trifecta exists when one party holds the governorship, a majority in the state senate, and a majority in the state house.

There are currently 36 trifectas: 21 Republican trifectas and 15 Democratic trifectas....
Current "vulnerable trifectas" include:

ME Dems - "Moderately vulnerable"
FL Repugs - "Highly vulnerable"
SC Repugs - "Somewhat vulnerable"

Did anybody ask the fool what he thought Trump would do if the situation was reversed?
Twitter would be flooded with "Joe's dying" "Joe's weak, can't stand up" "Joe's never going to make it to the election..."

Lady O and I have officially cast our ballot. Trump's illness had no effect on our vote.

It occurred to me that the vote we just cast may be our last vote. Next election we'll be California residents and our votes will be totally unnecessary, as they would have been this year. Or maybe we'll vote in Congressional races.

It would have been nice to have a more exciting candidate to vote for, but hey - a vote against Trump is probably the most importance an individual can get out of a vote.

This is a real interesting read

https://www.news.com.au/world/north-ame ... 2e444163e5

"doomsday planes" turned on their transponders 30 minutes before the announcement trump was going to walter reed
It’s no accident the aircraft were seen.

Military aircraft and ships usually fly with their radio identification transponders turned off in order to avoid being tracked and identified.

If it is on, it’s because the aircraft wants to be seen.

In being seen, the US Pentagon is sending a subtle – but clear – message that it is prepared for any eventuality.

...

“I would expect them to pop up if he tests positive,” US open-source intelligence hobbyist Tim Hogan tweeted with flight tracking maps identifying the flights.

What a difference which side you're on makes. The rightness are so upset that anyone is even acknowledging that trump getting really sick could help him understand that masks work, but the real kicker is Biden has suspended his best ads and there are calls for him to stop campaigning- yet trump - fucking asshole trump 4 years ago -

 Yeah, we both present a respectable veneer that serves us well. But I've not had a haircut in nearly five months.....if I quit shaving and brushing my teeth for the remaining days until early voting that will give me ten days to affect a more trumpian cult look. But I intend to keep working on my sermon just in case.

Beards reduce the effectiveness of masks. Plus, no one will see your teeth and you'll be breathing your own bad breath. Maybe quit bathing, instead. ;)
