And that's what sucks about the NFL, dude's got no contract.
Dislocated ankles are quite serious, much worse than fingers, toes, elbows, shoulders and knees. However, I don't think that they're career ending.
Compound fracture and dislocation.

The number 2 pick was RG III, he's riding the pine in Baltimore I think.

Ryan Tanenhill at number 8.
Brandon Weeden at number 22.
Brock Oweiller at number 57.
Nick Foles at 88.
Kirk Cousins at 102.

The NFL draft is such a crapshoot.

Who? ;)

Luck was #1 overall.
Wilson was 75th overall. 245, 21-13 midway through the 3rd after being down 0-13 at the half. Wow!

Yeah the fat lady was already standing out there in the rain starting to sing, and they stuffed her back to the doughnut shop.
That was a spectacular game - imagine if the "12th Man" fans had been there.

Actually there were other good games today, too. Giants/Cowboys was good except for Dax's leg; Raiders/Chiefs was good, and we still need to recognize da Bears.

It takes such tremendous force to dislocate an ankle that an associated fracture is common. Both can be fixed, sometimes with surgery like he got, but shredded tendons and ligaments will usually take longer to heal.

Interesting that Smith came back (after two years out) on the same day Dax went down. I think Smith had a worse injury, though, if you can imagine.

They're saying six months should be ready by training camp.

Seventeen surgeries, almost lost his leg, almost lost his life.

Seriously, why is he out there?

Dunno, but I'd venture a guess that the prospect of getting back provided him a lot of his incentive to go through all he had to do to complete his recovery. Whether he'll last very long might be another matter.

All that in order to come back at 36 years old to play for DC when his net worth is $55M. Could be that his brain was injured worse.

AZ stomps Dallas 38-10. 2-4 Dallas still has solo lead of the division. Six NFL teams have as many wins as the entire NFC East.

5 combined NFC East wins through 6 weeks ties the 1984 AFC Central for worst ever.

Announcer: Tonight it's "a pillow fight" between the NYG and Eagles offenses :D . 10-7 Eagles in the middle of the 3rd.

Edit: Very next play NYG QB Jones runs untouched for 80 yds, trips himself at the Eagles 10.

These are two really awful teams, although there have been some individual good plays. Iggles uniforms are horrid. Giants will probably encounter criticism and threats of banning if they keep using the "NYG" designation since pronounced "nig" could be seen as a racial slur by some with vivid imaginations.

The 4th got more exciting. Philly drove thanks to NYG flubs (of course), still almost blew it, wins by 1. Congrats. Philly is tied for the div lead at 2-4-1.
