Sure it is. It's not like anyone calls the Falcons "Attell", and it's less likely to cause offense than your mocking cultural appropriation of the Irish.

Ah, clever response, but it makes, rather than refutes my point. My appellation comes not from the Irish, nor does it relate to a former Faux "journalist" or a previous "Big Brother" winner. It comes simply from my usual first comment IRL when presented with questionable information, sometimes spelled "Oh, really?" Yet even though it is not related to the Irish, isn't spelled the same as the Irish, isn't pronounced the same as the Irish, some drunken Irishman who had too many pints will want to fight because of a perceived derogotory stereotype of the Irish, and then insist that I either drop out of public posting or select another name. Maybe I'll pick "The West Coast Writer."

Oh, really? :P At least 12 years posting and I believe that I'm the first to make an Irish connection.

Of course, we are a very small pond compared to the nation. Can you find an example of someone ever objecting to "NYG" on racial grounds? It's "not related to" nigger, "isn't spelled the same as" nig, and "isn't pronounced the same as" a single word, ever.

Not yet, but who knows?
They'll probably get to the "Fighting Irish" first. Or is that just a view from the peanut gallery? Opps.

Yeah, well, some of us are ahead of our time. Eventually "they" will get around to wanting to toss that Leprechaun on the same pile with Chief Yahoo.

You've been predicting that for at least 8 years.

It was Chief Wahoo. Do they all look alike to you? ;)

Hey, 8 years is nothing. Took them 75 or so to get the 'Skins tossed.
Yeah, I know Cleveland's mascot was Wahoo. But now that you mention it, cartoon caricatures of indigenous North Americans do tend to look similar.

Browns 5-2, but lost OBJ on the Browns' second snap, knee.
DC and Dallas 2-5, 1/2 game behind the Div leading Philly.

... Hey Pathetic Panthers - you missing Cam ... yet? ...
Maybe, maybe not.
Cam's 1st half vs 3-3 SF: 4/8, 30 yds, 3.8 yds/att, 0 TDs, 2 INTs, 19.8 rating.
3-23 @ NE.
Edit: 3 INTs, 6-30 and benched for Jarrett Stidham (congrats, billy.pilgrim!). Karma for playing for Belichick.

Meanwhile, 4-2 Tom Brady is 23/32, 267 yds, 8.3 yds/att, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, 117.6 rating.
24-10 @ 3-2 LV in 3rd.

All of the thousands and thousands of NFL games ever, this is the 1st one with both QBs throwing for more than 300 yds and running for more than 50 yards. Wow.

Announcer: There will be 3 Wild Card teams per conference this year. The NFC West could put all 4 teams in the playoffs.

In contrast, announcer with mixed mirth and resignation while noting next week's games: "Somebody's going to win the NFC East this year."

AZ missed a walkoff FG in OT, cool.
Edit: Crap, it didn't miss the next one after Wilson threw an INT, his 3rd of the game.

Ugh.
Announcers: Bears have had 51 starting QBs in the SB era, 54 years, most in the NFL. Only 2 have made it to the Pro Bowl - Jim McMahon in 1985 and Mitchell Trubisky in 2018. Ouch.

And I think both were alternates.

We have running backs and linebackers. No QBs or receivers.

Turned that shitshow off at halftime. I chose wisely.

I think they got the payments/appearance issue straightened out, with no (provable) wrongdoing on Favre's part. But he's still slimy and stinky, not to mention box-of-rocks stupid for the Trump remark.
