In theory an effective vaccine targets a part of the virus that's common to all strains, or it's designed to target multiple strains. That said, there's a pretty good chance that like the flu vaccine we'll need a new CV-19 vaccine each year or so.

I've actually never had a flu shot. I figure by the time a Covid vaccine is available for me we'll know if it's safe enough. Especially after Shrub, Clinton, Biden, Fauci and Obama have been injected.

I both had to and wanted to when I was working in hospitals, otherwise not. I'll ask my MD to give me the CV-19 vaccine as soon as it's my demographic's turn.
