Kelly Loeffler is the wealthiest US senator by a long shot. I remember seeing a pic of her wearing some blue jeans and a trucker hat surrounded by some Georgia redneck cosplaytriots trying to show her constituents that despite her 500 million+ net worth she's still one of them.
Warnock and Ossof probably have more in common socio-economically with these types than Loeffler and Perdue, but rural white folks will still vote for the Republican candidates.
And they vote for tRump.
One of life's greatest mysteries.
It always seemed to me like there is/was a stronger adherence to a social heirarchy in some places in the South. I noticed this when I moved down here. I'm not ragging in the South, this is just an observation I remember making back when I was eighteen and visited for the first time.
I figure this has something to do with said life's mystery, amongst other things.
I 'spose. Idk.
Pundit on CNN, paraphrased: When Whites see their privileged, dominant majority status fading away, they suddenly cease supporting democracy.
Me: Race, culture wars, religion, "socialism" boogeyman - the corporate fat cats and their Repug clients will use anything they can to distract the gullible and uneducated from recognizing their economic solidarity.

Yeah, and Senate MINORITY Leader Moscow Mitch!
Worthless toad.
Some rain on the parade - It may appear that Schumer is in charge, but the real Senate Majority Leader will be Joe Manchin, D(INO)-WV.
Semi-worthless toad.
That said, far better than no parade at all.

Yeah, Manchin has to do what he has to do to keep his seat in ruby-red West Bumfuque, and he's capable of tossing in a monkey wrench. But on most things, I'm guessing he'll be like a redneck version of Susan Collins. A lot of harummph before rolling over.
I'll be damned. Maybe he's not a complete invertebrate.
It's sad that we're reduced to praising officials for not doing what everyone other than former PINO and moronic Trumpettes know and have loudly said is illegal.
... "Trump is the cause of this, lock, stock, and barrel," one Republican strategist told Politico. "But when you're relying on someone to win you a Senate race that also lost statewide eight weeks prior, you're not in a position of strength." A senior Senate GOP aide, when asked why Republicans lost on Tuesday, said, "Donald J. Trump." Some Trump allies pushed back, blaming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for refusing to hold a vote on $2,000 stimulus checks. The Republican candidates, Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, also took friendly fire....
I have no problem with piling on 45SHOLE and Moscow Mitch, but we should not forget that Loeffler and Perdue are especially miserable humans, and that all this is a sign of the GOP at large being rotten to the core.

Yes, they are miserable excuses for human beings, but - particularly in Loeffler's case - made much worse by Trump. Nevertheless, sorry humans though they may be, they would still have been elected because of the (R) beside their name if it weren't for Trump's most recent idiocy.
