Oh my god, cops are being "scrutinized by their supervisors", until all this blows over and we can get back to ...
The fbi and doj are already making plans to forgive and forget. After all it was mostly white folk.
Aren't these these same folk who stormed and trashed federal property in Oregon without consequences?
The same ones who aimed weapons at federal agents and refused to leve federal lands without consequences?
Already most senators are either backing them openly or pretending that nothing wrong happened.

The idea of not charging the traitors who weren't violent or destructive has been floated. Then, someone leaked it so folks like you would be outraged and prevent it.
IMO it will be difficult to convict the nonviolent traitors who can prove that they were welcomed in by traitorous Capitol Police.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupatio ... ife_RefugeSeems like "consequences" to me.... By February 11, all of the militants had surrendered or withdrawn from the occupation, with several leaders having been arrested after leaving the site; one of them, Robert LaVoy Finicum, was shot and killed during an attempt to arrest him after he reached toward a handgun concealed in his pocket[24][30] after he tried to evade a roadblock; Ryan Bundy was wounded. More than two dozen of the militants were charged with federal offenses including conspiracy to obstruct federal officers, firearms violations, theft, and depredation of federal property.
By August 2017, a dozen had pleaded guilty, and six of those had been sentenced to 1–2 years' probation, some including house arrest. Seven others, including Ammon and Ryan Bundy, were tried and acquitted of all federal charges. Five more had been found guilty and were sentenced months later. Seven of the militants saw prison time for their roles in the occupation. Jake Ryan and Duane Ehmer each received 366 days in prison, with Ryan additionally getting three years of supervised probation. Darryl Thorn received 18 months of prison time on November 21, 2017. Jason Patrick received 21 months on February 15, 2018. Ryan Payne was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison along with three years of supervision on February 27, 2018. Jon Ritzheimer was sentenced to 366 days in federal prison and another 12 months in a residential re-entry program. Corey Lequieu was sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of supervision. Two others, Joe O'Shaughnessy and Brian Cavalier, were detained for at least a year, but released on time served plus three years of supervision each, plus fines.

In spite of the world knowing that they were guilty (even more guilty than the DC insurrectionists) "On October 27, 2016, Ammon Bundy and six other defendants were found not guilty of conspiracy to impede federal officers and possession of firearms in a federal facility by a jury."
Considering that most repugs back the DC rioters, what jury convicts?

Yeah, I quoted that, but there were "consequences" including death and injury for others and at least the seven were prosecuted.

What is it 70 or 80% who believe Biden is illegitimate and cheated. They will understand the poor rioters.
Senate
If not even 17 can look at what trump did and refuse to convict him, then they are in support of the insurrectionists.
Maybe I'm wrong, but all I see are a few show trials before the rest and trump's roles are ignored.
doj and fbi already discussing no charges for most.
How many arrested out of the thousand or so who crossed police barricades - a hundred or so with most released on small bonds, unlike the evil photoshoper guy.
Why hasn't borbert been charged for her reconnaissance tour?

Could be. I've disagreed on some details of what we know, but your predictions may sadly be correct.

Is it a "thousand or so"? I've been wondering. I think they've been charging the ones they can ID. I doubt they want citizens going to the media and saying, "I IDed _____ and nothing happened."
Why hasn't borbert been charged for her reconnaissance tour?
I think the House is investigating, but without a tour member admitting that it was indeed riot recon I don't know how she can be convicted.

"The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments or so to the Constitution."
"or so"

So, what happened to the Constitution during the term of #18 Ulysses S. Grant that would make former PINO "the 19th US president"?
Big of the Qidiots to so brazenly admit that Trumpettes are racists.

Figures. Qidiot = White supremacist.Enforcement Acts
The Enforcement Acts were three bills passed by the United States Congress between 1870 and 1871. They were criminal codes that protected African-Americans’ right to vote, to hold office, to serve on juries, and receive equal protection of laws. Passed under the presidency of Ulysses S. Grant, the laws also allowed the federal government to intervene when states did not act to protect these rights. The acts passed following the ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment to the US Constitution, which gave full citizenship to anyone born in the United States or freed slaves, and the Fifteenth Amendment, which banned racial discrimination in voting.
At the time, the lives of all newly freed slaves, as well as their political and economic rights, were being threatened. This threat led to the creation of the Enforcement Acts.
Goal
The main goal in creating these acts was to improve conditions for black people and freed slaves. The main target was the Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacy organization of the time, which was targeting blacks, and, later, other groups. Although this act was meant to fight the KKK and help black people, and freedmen, many states were reluctant to take such relatively extreme actions, for several reasons. Some politicians at the state and federal levels were either members of the Klan, or did not have enough strength to fight the Klan. Another goal of these acts was to achieve national unity, by creating a country where all races were considered equal under the law.

Re: Sedition
Well back on the 6th, I was ready to take them all out back and shoot them - and I'd join the firing squad. But upon further review, I'm having a hard time drawing a difference in breaking into the Capitol and/or being in there unlawfully vs. breaking into and doing significant damage to Joshua Tree national park back during the last government "shut-down." Except - except - for the protest/free speech parts that aren't criminal. So for the overrunning barriers and breaking doors, or running with the crowd through the already open door, you're probably not going to get much charged.
But I think there's quite a bit they can hit the leaders with, and those who attacked the guards or made threats, etc. So I suppose I'd be happy if they throw the book at the leaders (including the orange one) and most of the crowd gets off with "trespass/defacing" citations. I also support social sanctioning of participants, though. Fire them, don't buy their products, throw them out of the club, publicly ridicule them, whatever.

And yet, no conspiracy theorist ever asks the simple obvious question, like "what would have to happen and who would have to be involved for this to be true?" The question is simple, but once you try answering it, it becomes complicated and less and less likely to be even possible.

Yet another desperate, irresponsible and cowardly Trumpette moron:Brandon Straka: Trump rally speaker charged over Capitol riot
A conservative activist and speaker at a “Stop the Steal” rally held the day before pro-Trump rioters stormed the US Capitol has been arrested for his alleged role in the insurrection on 6 January, reports say.
Brandon Straka, 44, of New York was taken into custody on Monday on a felony charge of interfering with police during civil disorder, and illegal entry and disorderly conduct on restricted Capitol grounds, The Washington Post reported....
The FBI affidavit reportedly said that Mr Straka recorded himself in front of a mobbed entrance to the Capitol, and was seen wearing the same coat as at the rally, and urged the crowd to take a riot shield from a police officer.
The founder of the WalkAway Campaign allegedly said: “Take it away from him… Take the shield!… Take it! Take it!,” the FBI affidavit said.
At another point, Mr Straka reportedly stood behind a crowd of people trying to force their way into the Capitol allegedly yelling, "Go! Go!" and saying, "I wanna try," the FBI said....
Mr Straka previously made headlines in 2020 after he was removed from an American Airlines flight, after refusing to follow their guidelines.
He became a Fox News contributor after posting a viral video in May 2018 describing why he left the Democratic Party....
GOP House leader Kevin McCarthy says all Americans are culpable for Capitol riot, not just him
Mr McCarthy is facing calls from House Democrats that he resign
