I really wanna visit this place and take a tour but I don't wanna give them my money.
I want a selfie with the dinosaurs statues they have in cages.
Knew someone that went as a curiosity. After five minutes they had enough and wanted to leave. Problem was, it was a one way museum with no shorcuts. They couldn't just leave without having to go through the whole thing.

I've talked my way out of 3 speeding tickets, into a sold-out George Carlin concert, a sold-out Leo Kotter concert
and the into the 1st ever 20th century Auburn/Alabama game (I did slip a worker a twenty), you shouldn't have a problem.
I suggest a service entrance and a good story, or press credentials from a wacky Christian site if you try the front gate.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

Plead deep faith, but extreme poverty, even better if it's somehow the result of anti-xtian discrimination. Ask for a scholarship. Avoid days when thunderstorms are predicted, just to be safe.
It was 3 dogs, 2 stolen, none hurt.
No arrests yet.
An unnamed woman may be in line for the reward.
Something tells me that the hero dog walker won't have to walk dogs for a living anymore.
The woman supposedly found them tied to a post miles from the theft site. No word on if and when she'll get the reward.
The hero dog walker was shot 4 times in the chest! He is expected to survive.
You'd think whoever took him would jump for the $500,000 reward.
Sure, if it was $5,000 or $10,000. That would be nothing for Lady GG, but a pretty good haul for a half-hour of dognapping. But $500K is a lot, and I'd think there would be suspicion of traps involved. Criminals aren't always very bright, but the ones not in jail are often paranoid.
Well, it looks like both dogs have now been recovered. The news said that the woman who brought the remaining dog forward had "nothing to do" with the assault/theft. Not sure how she wound up with them, but I imagine she's in for part if not all of the reward.

And some very close questioning.
Yeah, Lady GG said her reward was "no questions asked" but that undoubted doesn't mean the cops won't ask questions since the walker got shot. I'm not sure I believe the "found tied to a post" story, though. Naaaa, I'm sure. I don't believe it.

Yeah, I didn't know what her story was, about the "tied to a post". It's not like I really care, although $500k is a pretty good take for lost dog.
You gotta wonder about Lady Gaga for wanting to part with that much money for a lost couple of dogs. Either she's so wealthy it's nothing to her, or she's nutso. Maybe a bit of both?
... The bird's owner was impaled in the groin by the knife as the animal tried to escape.
Duh, the rooster was bred and trained to attack "cocks".
... The animal was held at a police station before being transferred to a farm.
Fitting, for a hero!
... Those involved in the event face charges of manslaughter, illegal betting and hosting a cockfight, the AFP news agency reports.
... It's not the first time an owner has been killed by their cockerel. Last year a man in Andhra Pradesh died after he was hit in the neck by a blade attached to his bird....

Police "don't think the woman was involved." We'll see, it would be pretty ballsy to walk into a cop shop after being culpable for a near fatal shooting. I think it's as likely that the robbers abandoned whatever their goal was after it went so wrong.
These animals were killed using packs of dogs, snares and leg-hold traps,” Kitty Block, chief executive of the Humane Society of the United States, said on Tuesday. “It was a race to kill these animals in the most cruel ways.”

We had a fun bird experience yesterday. We went down to Point Loma, to spend the day at the Cabrillo National Monument. https://www.nps.gov/cabr/index.htm
We were sitting in the car having lunch in between walks and a medium-sized bird came up and landed on the side mirror. It didn't seem to be bothered by us inside the car, and it turns out it wasn't bothered by any small effort to shoo it off. I offered it a small strip of cheese and it took it from my fingers, ate it, and waited for some more. Eventually it flew off. I asked a ranger about the very friendly little bird and she said, "Oh, that's Gracie the Grackle. She'll eat from your hand and follow you on the trail." Good experience - I hope her friendliness doesn't get her hurt by some of the assholes in the world.
In October 2020, two men living in Indonesia's South Kalimantan province on Borneo managed to catch a bird that they had never seen before. They photographed and released it, then sent the pictures to birdwatching organizations in the area for identification.
... The report noted that this is the longest an Asian bird has been lost to science....
The researchers do not have enough information to determine the conservation status of the rediscovered species, but they hope to do further study. However, The Guardian noted massive deforestation in lowland Borneo, and Akbar believes habitat loss poses a threat. The bird's reemergence is another argument for preserving Borneo's unique rainforest.
"It's sobering to think that when the black-browed babbler was last seen, Charles Darwin's Origin of Species hadn't even been published and the now extinct passenger pigeon was still among the world's commonest birds," Ding Li Yong of BirdLife International and study coauthor said in a press release. "Who knows what other riches lie deep within Borneo's fabled rainforests, especially in the Indonesian part of the island?"
Cool.
Try saying 'black-browed babbler' 10 times fast. The attempt turns me into a babbler.
