Why Do You Support Obama? A Sincere Question.

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Wouldn't it be great if all of us could ask for more time to do what we couldn't do in the time allotted. Doesn't work that way in the real world and it shouldn't work that way for the President of our country but Obama keeps begging you to give him more time. I say, "time's up".
I'll have to agree on the time limit.

Too many jobs were being lost while health care was being pushed. Along with the loss of jobs was the homes of displaced workers. There's a list of issues covering the loss of income and I am doubly sure that there's a list just as long for those who don't have insurance but it takes money to be able to afford any kind of healthcare. To me, that means you need a job. I've always wondered why healthcare got top focus but finally decided that it was needed to take care of all the illegals that Obama let come to USA. I can appreciate the fact that we do allow immigrants to settle here and become citizens after a while but i do believe that with our country in the sad state of affairs it's dealing with now was the wrong time to welcome more on our entitlement lists.

Many Americans have stopped trying to find a job because they have given up hope and have lost everything they've worked for up until this downturn of the economy.

My choice of presidents is limited to these two candidates. I think a change is in order and Romney will be my choice. No one knows everything about a candidate but if romney will work on getting jobs for Americans and offer incentives for businesses to come here, i'll have made the right choice.

Romney is just too wishy washy. I would have more respect for him, IF he would just take a stance and stand on it! Even if I didnt agree with that stance. I mean if he has to decide if that big red button is mashed, how can we trust someone with a record like his. I made the statement when Obama was elected, why would anyone want the mess we were in. I knew from the beginning he would never be able to take us to total recovery. Do I approve of everything he has done, no. But Romney changes with the wind and that is a fact I can not ignore.

If it were simply a matter of a change at the top, you might have a point. Romney might - if for no reason other than that the Republicans wouldn't have booting him as their top priority - do a decent job. Of course, as every President has found out within days of taking office, the job looks different once you have it from when you were outside thinking any idiot could do it. Particularly in the area of how much you can just "order" done. Problem is, it's not just Romney. If he gets in, he drags in the trainload of right wing extremist zealots who (as they have shown in some states) will forget all about "jobs, jobs, jobs" and jump right into the "important" matters of curtailing abortion rights, firing teachers, and land-raping. Romney has never shown any indication that he could/would control his fringes so we'd definitely be in deep with no paddle.

Dang! Why didn't I think of that? Too funny, just a big blow hard, eh? His arrogance is what i can't stand.
how he ever got that position is a curiosity and by now, I think most people are wondering the same thing.

Well, lemme see if I can address each point you offered from my basic understanding.
We have been witness to alot of executive decisions during Obama's term and he drug in his "butz load" of czars and quite frankly, I believe he would have come off better if he had left the criminal element out of most of his "recisions".

Curtail abortions? Not a bad thing
Firing teachers? Those not getting thru to their students by actually passing them with at least average grades should be re-evaluated and or retrained.
Land raping? Not sure but I think it has to do with (for instance) taking over land from families and building something else in its place? This cuts in on inheritances of the children of those families? There's another term for it besides rape? I am more concerned about us being able to be more energy effifient, using our resources in this country instead of buying it from other countries. Those little whirly birds Obama has invested over 90 billion dollars in are a joke(Green Technology). In deep without a paddle? We're looking up to see bottom now. IMHO

O'Really does make a decent point pertaining to the "new guy brief" presented to the in coming President by the out going President. Probably the reason "Hope and Change" sounded good during the campaign but after these immortal words "let me tell you how it really is Barrack" all that could be heard was a big gulp.

So Romney brings in a conservative staff and Obama brought in a liberal staff. How has that changed since our country elected its first President? Leaders do not surround themselves with people who are opposed to how they want to lead but, truth is, Obama and his administration have failed. It's time for change.

Hussien needs to go. I will go with the lesser of the two evils, Romney. We haven't had a decent cannidate to pick from in years.
Both parties seem to put up the two worst cannidates and then they choose someone even worse for VP....like good 'ol Joe.

Not sure about Ryan yet.

First it's Big Bird, now hard working, tax paying, job creating liberals.
Good luck with this one, Mitt.
Aside from economic considerations affecting voters' decisions in November, the issue of federal obscenity prosecutions figures to be a major factor for adult film producers. According to the notorious pro-censorship organization Morality in Media, Mitt Romney earlier this year, along with other Republican candidates at the time, offered assurances that if elected, they would direct the U.S. Department of Justice to prosecute porn producers for obscenity violations.
