Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

I bet if the airlines suddenly said anyone who isn't vaccinated will be tossed out the rear hatch at 29,000 feet it would encourage the flying public to settle down. But it would be wrong.

We are rapidly approaching the point where every American that wants to be vaccinated will have been. Am I a bad person if I then support removing all mask and social distancing mandates so that the anti-vaxxers can self-select out of the gene pool?

Maybe true about approaching the zenith of vaccination. The zenith of nutjobism and dumbfuckery is apparently still somewhere in the future, though. I still wear a mask at the store, which is pretty much the only place I go where I'm in contact with strangers, nutjobs, dumbfucks, hangers on, also rans, and various other degenerates and desperadoes. Lately, only about half of them or maybe a little more are using masks. I do sort of get a kick out of going into the bank wearing a mask.

Did I ever mention that I consult for the CDC and that they instantly heed my wishes?

CDC says fully vaccinated people don't have to wear masks or distance indoors

That said, I'll keep heeding business requests, no skin off my nose.

That same thought has occurred to me.
Along with the CDC I also advise state govt:
Cooper lifts indoor mask mandate for all of NC, except in certain settings

... Additionally, the state will lift all mass gathering limits and social distancing requirements....

I'm still not hot and bothered to go to an indoor setting to watch live music with drinking and such.

I'm still iffy on indoor dining.

On the upside, herd thinning will commence for the unvaccinated who do go.

I don't do much of either, regardless, but I have confidence in the vaccines. They either prevent infection or drastically reduce its severity surprisingly well.

 Rare breakthrough infections among the vaccinated are being reported. I think they should report serious illness and deaths among the unvaccinated, but they won't.

Mad Cow Shoppe disease:
Some businesses ban vaccinated customers as fertility misinformation goes viral

Yehuda Goldberg, owner of Brothers Butcher Shoppe in Ontario (Canada), updated the Covid-19 guidelines for people visiting his meat shop this month. He posted on Instagram that he would ask vaccinated people not to come in to protect his female customers.

"We have decided that since the majority of our customers are women and since women are most at risk for these side effects, we ask that if you've been vaccinated to please order for curbside pickup or delivery for 28 days after being vaccinated," the post reads.

The reason, Goldberg said, is that evidence is surfacing that people who have been vaccinated are "shedding spike proteins," which appears to be affecting women's menstrual cycles. While medical experts say that isn't true, Goldberg said that what he's reading shows that just being around someone who has been vaccinated can cause reproductive health issues for women and that he doesn't want to endanger any of his female customers.

"In my store, I'm going to stand up for women and stand up for women's rights, and I'm going to stand up and protect my customers," Goldberg said in an interview, adding that he isn't a doctor and that he can't say for sure that vaccine shedding — the false claim that people who have been vaccinated emit contagious particles — is happening....

 I can't wait until the poor bastard finds out it's his meat that is causing the shedding of spike proteins and stanching the menstrual flow.

:D That would be an excellent rumor to start.

'Best $500 I ever spent': GOP lawmakers flout mask rules, risk fine on House floor

Several Republican lawmakers, in an act of apparent protest, flouted mask rules on the House floor Tuesday during a voting session and then took a photo in front of the Capitol steps.

"Best $500 I ever spent," Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., said after he left the chamber, a reference to the fine House members face for breaking mask rules set by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. The fine is $500 for a first offense and $2,500 for a second offense.

He was joined in protest by Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (of course) of Georgia, Chip Roy of Texas, Lauren Boebert of Colorado (of course), Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina (of course  ), Beth Van Duyne of Texas, Louie Gohmert of Texas, Ralph Norman of South Carolina and Mary Miller of Illinois.
Wait, does this mean that even the snotty kids won't let Frat Gaetz join in their stupid games?
... In March and again in late April, Pelosi said about 1 in 4 members of the House had not been vaccinated against Covid-19, even though they have had access to the vaccines since December. Many Republican lawmakers have protested since Pelosi put infection-control measures in place in the House, as well as after the Jan. 6 riot....

Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., was seen having an animated debate with Greene, Boebert and Massie on the House floor for at least 15 minutes Tuesday afternoon.

"I was just telling my friends that 100 percent of the Democrats had been vaccinated, and if we had 100 percent of the members vaccinated we could all take our masks off — so we should be protesting them," Raskin told reporters....

"I said: 'Hey, you guys are just like 21st century Freedom Riders. John Lewis would be so proud,'" Raskin told reporters. "The irony may have been lost on them. I don't know."

Sad story here, but a good example of what will happen more and more to the "hesitant" or the anti-vaxxers. Vaccine-eligible guy decides to wait, gets covid and now he's dead. And, of course, as more non-vaccinated people ditch their masks because they can, it will get more dangerous from them.

Well, someone he trusts should have told him that his job (janitorial) exposed him to covid pathogens more than most jobs, and that vaccination at his age (71) was highly recommended. Of course, this is in SoCal, where the morons reproduce like rabbits.

I won't be sad if some get sick and die. For instance:

(NV state) Republican lawmaker who refused to wear mask is stripped of voting and speaking privileges until she apologizes
