What are you watching?

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Just watched the 2nd episode of Loki. I've only moderately held interest in the Marvel movies. The kid grew up on them, so I've been well exposed. Anyway I wasn't looking forward to watching a show about the sniveling a..hole character Loki.
Wrong. So far this has been a more interesting story about a much more interesting character.
Check out Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
It was pretty good. I've seen them all. So far (2 episodes) I think Loki may be the best.
Have you watched?
Trippy.
Good answer.
I think I'll watch it again I think that I'm most amazed at my positive feelings toward Loki. Before I've always wanted someone to kill the little shit.
And too, at how damn small Owen Wilson is. Not sure why I thought he was a big guy.

They certainly didn't wrap it up in a tight little ball.

It's all a set up for the next couple of movies. We'll be seeing more of Loki.

I was having a Marvel brain cloud when I answered about Winter Soldier.
Edit:
No, I 8-) had not seen it,
yes, it was very good.

Haven't, perhaps because I cancelled my cable about 15 years ago.

I don't have cable either.
It's on Apple TV - $4.99/month - cancel anytime

However, Miles Surrey thinks Ted Lasso is great:
Well, I have to eat my words. Ted Lasso the sitcom … seriously rules. The series has no right to be as good, funny, and moving as it is. And yet I devoured all 10 episodes in a single day while frantically messaging my editor in disbelief that this is one of my favorite new shows. As far as TV productions go, this might as well be Leicester City winning the Premier League.

Don't you watch any internet channels?

You don’t need cable

Not positive, but I think you need a roku tv, or a roku stick for your tv.

I'll probably catch it when it winds up for free somewhere on the internet.

I like Jason Sudekis - his acting is probably what makes the show.

Well there is the roku thing - unless you have one. All kinds of free programs on a roku tv
And yep, Jason is hilarious

A basic Roku stick is cheap. And well worth it. Lots of free stuff available and easy to pick up subscriber stuff if you want it.

No, but I might if you insist. I've read the reviews and seen the trailers, but that sort of ummm "folksy" character doesn't usually appeal to me.

Apple is free for 1st week. Try 2 or 3 episodes (30 minutes each) and let me know.

I wasn't looking forward to it either, but it was ms dot's turn to pick for our remote TV watching with our son. I am hooked. Too bad we only watch 2 nights a week.

Mostly I watch one or more of the about eight local PBS channels in this area. Digital broadcasts, great antenna reception. That, and local/network news, although the commercial breaks can be annoying. Typically there's 10 to 20 minutes of uninterrupted news from one of the main networks, and then it gets chopped up between commercials and fluff type news. Of course PBS sometimes destroys its broadcasts with pledge breaks, but nothing in this world is ever perfect, at least not for long.

YMMV

If I watch news, it's PBS broadcast. I do subscribe to PBS and can watch almost anything anytime. I don't remember what I pay; I pay annually. Most recently the remake of All Creatures .., Morse, followed by Lewis, followed by Endeavor. Great stuff that PBS.

Next
Atlantic Crossing and Long Song look good

Spend twenty-five bucks on a Roku. There's more free content to stream than you could imagine, including pbs on demand.
