Same, until I went to a concert in 94. It was a total lip sync show. I never enjoyed them afterwards.

I saw them a few times in the 80's, never got that impression but Google says you're right.

I saw them first when they were a localish/regional South Texas band, then probably 5-6 more times over the course of 40-something years. Maybe some of the shows were lip-synched, I don't know. Wouldn't matter - they still put one some of the best concerts I've been to.

Re: In Memoriam
I think Dusty likely cashed his own chips. I saw a clip from the last concert he was in, and he was playing leaning (almost sitting) against a piece of equipment the whole time. He'd had a broken shoulder, a broken hip, and apparently wasn't healing well. But none of those things are normally fatal. Either way, he'll be missed.

Possible, I suppose.
Don't know what I'd do in a similar situation.

Re: In Memoriam
Supposedly one of the guys who came out on stage during the performance was Dusty's planned replacement already. So I guess they knew his performing days were soon to be over, just maybe not that soon.

Bull 78 and Dan 73 are still acting. Roz is 67, not sure what she's up to. Mel Tormé died in 1999 at 73.neoplacebo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 6:02 pmHey Larry, hey Moe...woo woo woo woo. Kind of weird that Harry, the judge died not long ago, and just the other day Mack the clerk died, and now Christine. Don't know if Bull or Roz or Dan are still around. I liked that show.

Maybe they were lip synching their albums too. Guess I'll never know.
