My point exactly about scumbag lawyers.
and you go off on phelps and sarah plain and simple's death panels
I never mentioned Sarah Palin nor did I call Obama simple. Hallucinate much?
there are hundreds of similar cases but I was referring to Ford and their cute Pinto that so many parents bought for their children
and all the while the ceo and the board and the attorneys and the accountants knew that the frame would buckle in a 5 mph crash and that the gas tank was unprotected in a rear end 5 mph crash and that the people in the car would burn and they sat around a big table and discussed how they could keep the info quite how many lawsuits they would have to settle to keep the info away from the public so sales would continue and they did discuss a recall but in the end decided it would be cheaper to push the victims and their families around, beat up as many as they could in court and settle with the others and pocket the profits
I assuming you have positive proof of that claim?
I realize the story is a bit old but I already tossed by copy of Public Citizen that shows the fines big pharma paid last year for hiding the truth about products that should have never been on the market (big pharma has a bunch of scumbag corporate attorneys protecting their rights to profit off of the deaths of consumers) now tell us more of how great thou art.
I never said I was great, but you've proved how great you aren't.
Of course there are unscrupulous activities, and scumbag attorneys that vigorously defend same, but I don't nor won't have any part of that type of activity. My joy is in proving those lying bastards are just that.
You also missed that part where I said that I'm not saying there aren't legitimate suits; also the part where I said I handled frivolous suits; the kind that people sit around and make up in order to attempt to screw others....law firms included.
I used the lawnmower suit as an example because of the promises made by the law firm and what the CAMs that they enticed to join the suit, were actually paid. In the end, it was the big law firm that walked away with the millions that the public, who I never denied weren't shafted, should have received. The entrance door example was staged by the complainant who saw the wind blowing the entrance door open, and attempted to exit hoping to stage an accident, but got hurt in the process.
You've seen the videos on TV where people stage accidents in supermarkets by creating spills on the floor and "falling" and getting hurt? That's a frivolous lawsuit. Fortunately, close-circuit systems are cutting down on my work load!
Insurance fraud (staged accidents), etc., get it? link

I have better language skills and often better legal knowledge (without training) than you do.
Maybe since I don't speak lawyerese (like Lyons doesn't speak law enforcementese), I'm not a real attorney?
Otoh, you aren't capable of practicing healthcare.
Correct. It takes a lot of skill to wipe an ass. You get your language skills there as well?
(OK, I lied, I said I wasn't going to say anything about your work)
Better legal knowledge?Google does help a lot, doesn't it.

No doofus; I did not say "all plaintiffs"; you were the one who made the generalizations about attorneys and plaintiffs; pay attention to what you write.Vrede wrote:It's your generalizations about all of them and about all plaintiffs that have gotten you heat.

I still believe the gun manufacturers should be sued for selling guns to anything other than a "well-regulated Militia."

I've been alive for more years than I care to tell (over 50) and I know people in their 70s and 80s who have never felt it necessary to have a gun in the house.
Sequester yourself in a cocoon of fear. It appears to suit you.
As Vrede mentioned, having a gun in the house only makes it more likely you'll shoot the wrong thing (such as yourself). Additionally, you can have it stolen, or have it merely collect dust all the while you wait for the "one time" you're gonna need it. I understand, for you, this is a scary, scary world; let's not add to it with useless paranoia, homer.
You should get out a bit more, homer, and leave the fear and guns behind ...

By the Google definition, I believe there's many sock-puppets here, not only those that follow Vrude.

Re: CHA-CHING!!!!
The primary definition of a sock puppet is the various different identities a single
poster has on an internet forum. That would mean, for example, that Vrede would
have multiple names being used simultaneously. Simply agreeing with another poster
is not being a sock puppet.

I originally thought that a s/p was one who mimicked another poster. Guess we'll have to call 'em Vrede Wannabees until a better description other than copy-cat comes along; you know, the Spike and Chester syndrome.Bungalow Bill wrote:The primary definition of a sock puppet is the various different identities a single poster has on an internet forum. What one posts about others is, often, what one truly believes.
You appear to think your fantasy regarding the supposed fealty you imagine by others toward Vrede is a result of Vrede being "so big and strong!"
Therefore, Leo, your true feelings thereof are transparent. Thanks for sharing ...

Still, your personal summation of Vrede as being "so big and strong" persists.

I told you, it ain't my personal summation. I don't attempt to be Vrede, mimic Vrede, or follow Vrede like you clones.mike wrote:Still, your personal summation of Vrede as being "so big and strong" persists.
The only thing that's big and strong is the admiration you puppets have for Vrede.
Don't try to pass your liberal-loving shit off on me, kitten man.

Interesting yet again, Leo, you really do believe Vrede is "so big and strong" that Vrede has any influence whatsoever on what the rest of us post.Leo Lyons wrote:I told you, it ain't my personal summation. It's not our fault that you're stupid enough to think that anyone who relies on facts instead of Kool Aid to form a world view is attempting to be like Vrede. No one here attempts to be Vrede, mimic Vrede, or follow Vrede. That's just your inability to think intelligently.Leo Lyons wrote:I told you, it ain't my personal summation. If we were as dumb as you, we would accuse you of trying to be like Dicktective Thorn or Butt Ugly because you agreed with them on something.
But we're not.
Clue. If we all base our beliefs on the same facts, then our beliefs -- and our posts -- will be very similar.
By the same token, people who chug the anti-Obama Kool Aid that's been manufactured over the last 5 years will sound very similar and make similarly stupid posts. How's that birth certificate thing working out for you?
