World Nut Daily's Woman of the Year!!!!

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

World Nut Daily's Woman of the Year!!!!

Unread post by Stinger »

None other than the head dingbat herself, Michelle Bachmann.

Image

Let's see . . . what did she do besides finish sixth in the Iowa caucus?

Well, she barely defeated a Democratic newcomer by a couple of thousand votes in spite of having outspent him 12 to 1.

Dingbat of the Year.

Thanks, Stinger, that is way too funny and only further indicates the inherent stupidity of World "Nut" Daily.

I wonder what pushed her over the top? Was it her insisting on turning America into a Christian theocracy? Her demand that the US resume torture? A combination of both as her answer to What Would Jesus Do....?

A good Christian remark if I've ever heard one. How's things going down at Westboro?

What does being a Christian have to do with being able to recognize the inherent stupidity of World Nut Daily?

Logic much?

Or are you actually insulting Christians by saying that they're supposed to be too dim to recognize the bias, utter lack of journalistic integrity, and "inherent stupidity" of World Nut Daily?

Speaking of WingNutDaily:

Whatever happened to their "North American Union by 2010!!!" that they warned us about in story after story after story - and even books - from 2005 to 2010?

What about the "Amero" they warned us about on a weekly basis over the same time?

How about that their endless stories about a "four football fields with mega-highway with rail and pipe lines from Mexico to Winnipeg"? (It was a related post by "Uriah Heep" with its reference to Winnipeg on that pulled me into the old Forum. I was doing a Google search for something else.)

What about WingNutDaily's warning that Bush II has signed an agreement that in the even of a virus outbreak, the WHO would put America under martial law backed by UN troops? H1N1 happened since then. Is that martial law is in place? (I haven't checked.)

And of course it's entirely possible that there's a parallel universe where WingNutdaily's Kenyan Birth Certificate wasn't an easily disproven fake, with the country printed on it not even existing at the time among other childish mistakes.

WingNutDaily has a long history of being a firehose of far-right wingnuttery and lies. One of the publisher's books even turning the term "swiftboating" into a synonym for disinformation campaigns based on a firehose of lies.

Just because you employ a person, that doesn't mean that you took them to raise either.

And who have you lived off of all your life? More like mooched, in your case. And who do you expect to fund your health care when you retire? Think about that one, bright one.

I have thought about it spinninleo. I expect the the taxpayers to fund much of my medical care when or if I retire, just as I and other taxpayers are funding much of the medical care of retirees today

so tell me now, why you expect your employer to raise you

btw - I've always been self-employed and done quite well, as for the moochin, that would be people like you leo - who can't make it in the real world, go to work for the government, expect the taxpayer to diaper them and then bitch about government spending

That's all unfounded speculation. The fact is that you've admitted to being a socialist worker, Leo Lyons.

it is pitiful that the majority who oppose any and all reforms to health care get their health care from the government at taxpayer expense

probably the best way to accomplish real health care reform would be to drop all government health care

the howl for change from the leo the donut eater weenie types would be deafening

"Gimme, gimme, gimme??" In an employment context? Seriously? Most people - whether they love their job or hate it - work to earn money. There's something wrong with wanting to be compensated for ones efforts? You ever spend much time working for the gummint for free?

Look, the employment-based health insurance "system" wasn't created by employees. It was created by employers as a tax avoidance technique. Benefits are deductible and not taxable to employees. But for years employers have worked on a "total compensation" basis, in which they divide compensation into several types, including cash, bonus, incentive, short-term and long-term benefits. Largely as a result of the prevalence of employer-based health insurance, individual coverage options are limited.

I don't know why "raise them" means with regard to employees, but a lot of progressive employers (those would be the ones frequently found both on "best places to work" lists as well as "most successful" lists) do consider their relationships with employees outside the time spent with noses actually at the wheel. Flexible benefit programs to accommodate different family situations, child care programs, recreation sponsorship, time for community volunteering, yada yada. for example, http://www.baselinemag.com/careers/slid ... r-workers/ And then there's the Wal-Mart model.

In any case, an employee trying to maximize his/her compensation seems like good ol' American capitalism more than "gimme" greed, doesn't it?

I try not to pay much attention to the batshit-crazy crowd, but when I heard Michelle Bachmann was on the House Intelligence committee, I did the ROTFL routine.

Gee, does she live in Florida too? You really ought to pay attention to who lives around you.

No, but she was a Republican Flavor-of-the-Month during the Republican presidential primaries, and she is a national figure ... so much so that the World Nut Daily named her Woman of the Year.

Why, we even have a thread about her, so it would be exceedingly logical to mention Michelle Bachmann on a thread about Michelle Bachmann.

Sorry you weren't smart enough to get that. Could have saved yourself some embarrassment.

You really ought to pay attention to how pointless and dimwitted your posts are.
