Well, just make sure they are really lizards before you stomp them.

Cause they might be rattlesnakes, which have a nasty habit of striking back against stompers.

Here's a link on how to tell if what you are stomping is a lizard or a rattler:

Nature: Rattlesnakes' sound 'trick' fools human ears

In brief, if it starts rattling, it just might not be a lizard. And, if the rattle rises in pitch as you get closer, then it probably isn't a lizard. Unless it's a lizard with a baby's rattle. Then you're on your own.

Hey Solar, have you noticed that the socialized fire services of CA and the US, funded through our taxes, are the people busting their butts to try and protect you, your neighbors and your regional economy? Yeah, I guess my definition of "off the grid" is quite different from theirs or maybe the average person even. Having a cell phone for instance would completely invalidate "living off the grid" for me.
