OK, so I hadn't read "The Lorax" and had to look up the reference. But the point is well taken, particularly given where Humboldt is, on the edge of a depleted redwood forest. There's a display in Fort Bragg of a slab cut out of a redwood - about 7-8 feet across. Made us wonder about the lumberjacks, looking at the tree and saying "Oh look, here's a magnificent tree that's probably been here a thousand years or so - let's cut it down."

Send the Lumberjacks to the barrel along with the Pygmies.
