I don't think so. The GQP is changing state election laws and also removing the authority to certify elections from the present system to one of their own design. That approach does not depend on ignorant people believing bullshit and I suppose they realize they can't always count on stupid people to believe stupid shit. Changing the entire way elections are certified (using the original big lie as the rationale) is a more certain way to win.

I don't understand. If there are no "ignorant people believing bullshit", where does the GQP get the power to change the entire way elections are certified?

I just meant that a few dozen GQP state legislators are able to vote for changes that have put partisan hacks in charge of state election procedures in several states. No ignorant people in the general GQP base need to do anything to make this happen. As for the concept of ignorant people believing stupid shit, I don't really think the state legislators are truly ignorant for the most part; they just see a way to take advantage of what a lot of ignorant people believe to advance their own power. That's more devious than ignorant.

I haven't done so yet but am going to send my representatives in both houses of Congress my fervent wish that they put forth maximum effort in what trump's newest "strategy" is....that Republicans not vote in the 2022 and 24 elections until his insatiable desire for adoration and victory is achieved. I will urge all three of them to get behind this in the most fervent and typical way. I will even promise to send them money if they do this. I figure to get started on this tonight after dinner and some thought.
