I admire and enjoy long traditions and the Packers have a lot. A few years ago when I was spending chunks of January with my Potawatomi client, I visited Lambeau Field. For anyone who hasn't been there, it doesn't look like much compared to more recently built stadiums (stadia?), an in-town place in a not-so-wonderful neighborhood. But then you see the practice field down the street, from which local kids carry the players' gear and let them ride their bikes back to the locker room. And Packer stuff is everywhere all over town, including names of streets, businesses, etc. Standing in the stadium when it's close to zero and a brisk wind gives you quite the Lambeau experience. Then the hall of fame below is filled with memorablia of players you've known about since forever and Lombardi stuff and championship stuff. https://www.packershofandtours.com/explore/hall-of-fame So I'm not a real Green Bay fan, but by no means a hater either. On a given day, I'm not unhappy if they win.

So in that context, if I were a Green Bay fan, I would be soooooo livid at Rodgers. To put the so far 7-1 season at risk and create issues that didn't have to be there would be inexcusable. His stuff would never make it to the hall of fame to be displayed in the same rooms as Paul Hornung or Ray Nitschke. I might have to recognize that he did great things for the team over the years, but that's not good enough to overcome this. His picture and jersey would have to be displayed in the mens room in front of the urinal.

Failing to get a vax and thus missing at least one significant game is bad enough, but covering it up and risk getting suspended for more games is inexcusable. No different from any other totally avoidable act that can wreck seasons like domestic violence, illegal gambling, Ruggs driving or whatever. Lambeau fans are perfectly capable of boos - let's home they rain down on Rodgers the next time or whenever he takes the field. Asshole.
