(I got mine last month. Thru Lucky's pharmacy dept. Didn't need to make an appt. Took about 30 minutes. The less said about Kaiser's role, the better. ).

I wasn't really looking for compensation - we were going to be in Crescent City anyway on our redwoods hike/cruise, and it's not really the store's fault if staff didn't show up or whatever. Kaiser seems to have made a deliberate decision to outsource covid shots to pharmacies and other outlets. Perhaps to avoid a jab seeking crowd at the Kaiser facilities. I don't know, it's just kind of weird that the predominant HMO in this state has taken such a hands-off approach to fighting this pandemic.

I did not fill out the forms to find out location availability, but they say, "We’re offering appointments at many of our facilities."

Maybe it's just your local med center not giving shots for some reason. Anyhow, what's the difference if they make sure you get an appointment somewhere?

I've been a Kaiser member for decades.

Yet all my Covid shots have been outside Kaiser facilities.

First two shots at SF Moscone Center, scheduled through myturn.ca.gov.

Booster shot at a local Lucky's pharmacy in town. While Kaiser has had some vaccination services, they're consistently been late to the dance and fairly secretive about it. That said, I was able to get my annual flu shot at the local Kaiser. But not the covid booster. Kaiser seems to have adopted an ostrich like approach to covid vaccination.

The good news in my post was that I was able to get fully vaccinated and the booster shot.

What Neo does not seem to know is that like many people, I had no choice in selecting a health plan. Kaiser was the only health coverage my employer offered.

The kindness part was totally abandoned by Neo in his ad hominem attack. And I'm genuinely puzzled as to how he equates health care coverage with capital punishment. Something really screwy about that.

And next Neo will be whining about the hour of the day that I posted this.
