Wingnutties out of control!

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

David Wilcox was a serial killer who also embezzled two thousand dollars from East Asheville Hardware. I think he wrote a song about it.
That's a damn lie.

I heard it was really Vrede wearing an adorable flower print day dress.

Bullshit. It wasn't thirty seconds after that photo of your "hardware" hero was taken that he smashed every one of those fucking windows in the background and began shouting religious gibberish and making jerky movements. They said it was the animal tranquilizers, but who's to say? The tapes will likely never be released except as a novelty.

Your serial stupidity makes reply composition easy for me. Thanks. That said, your fantasies about me are a little creepy - never in a million years.

"Some sort of cognitive test" is easy. If they support Trump and his ummmm "policies" they flunk and are immediately disqualified and sent to the closest looney bin.

Realistically, it would take a very unlikely constitutional amendment to add this qualification for federal office. Plus, no one has to show their tax returns.

Ironically, Haley fails her own proposal from the get-go. Opps.

I'd be happy if they just established some sort of minimum qualifications to hold each office, other than age and citizenship.

The new status quo:

The NJ election was close but it appears Murphy won.

People are already claiming widespread voter fraud. His opponent released a video trying to quell the conspiracy theories (props).

For now on if a GOP candidate loses there's going to be claims of fraud.

What's frightening is as younger people come into adulthood after having heard the elections are fraudulent their whole lives, their faith in elections will be even more eroded than those before them.

Thanks Trump, and RIP USA.

In other good news, Pelosi and company finally got the House to pass the infrastructure bill.

The fight over the social spending part is supposedly resolved as well, but we'll have to wait a bit more to see what's up with that.

Sounds like the wannabe cheater didn't break any laws, but Fairfax County is heavily Dem, so maybe they'll find a way. Illegal or not, this is clearly the result of poor parenting.

Not to mention it's yet another example of "voter fraud" that they constantly whine and screech about; even though nearly every instance of documented fraud uncovered is committed by the same people who quack about what a problem it is. trumpy whiny

Start being a fraud early enough and you'll be a fraudster for life.

Remember when infrastructure was a central Repug campaign plank in 2016?
Remember how Dolt .45 and crew never delivered in 4 years?
Republicans are going after their own after 13 voted with House Democrats in favor of the bipartisan infrastructure bill

... Leading up to the vote, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy trashed the bill as "reckless, irresponsible spending" and urged his party not to vote for it.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia warned that any Republican who votes for the bill will "feel the anger of the GOP voter," while Rep. Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina said: "Vote for this infrastructure bill and I will primary the hell out of you."

... Greene labeled them "traitors" and tweeted out a list of their names along with their office numbers.
Marjorie Taylor Greene 🇺🇸
@mtgreenee

13 Republicans voted with Pelosi to spend $7.5 billion to build EV charging stations all over America to force Americans to drive CCP battery driven cars.

China dominates the EV battery market by over 80% & the US can’t even compete with less than 10% market share.

Marjorie Taylor Greene 🇺🇸
@mtgreenee

Those 13 Republican traitors who voted to pass Biden’s Socialist Infrastructure bill agree with Globalist Joe that America must depend on China to drive EV’s.

The unlucky 13 are China-First and America-Last.

... "There's a lot of Democrats who call themselves Republicans in the US House," Cawthorn tweeted Saturday.

Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado said in a tweet "these fraudulent RINOs" should be penalized "for advertising themselves as Republicans but governing as Democrats."

"I can't believe Republicans just gave the Democrats their socialism bill." Rep Matt Gaetz of Florida said....
Strange whine for a Rep from a heavily militarized district in a heavily VA/SSI/Medicare dependent state.
Rep. Adam Kinzinger, one of the Republicans who voted for the bill, responded to Greene in a tweet, mocking her for referring to the infrastructure bill as communist: "Infrastructure=communism is a new one. Eisenhower's interstate system should be torn up or else the commies will be able to conveniently drive!" ...
Idk about "communism", but this bill and Eisenhower's interstate system are indeed socialist, and there's not one fucking thing wrong with that.

Funny that with 435 House members pretty much all of the ones that we feature or frequently discuss are in this article:
McCarthy
Marjorie Taylor Greene WTF?
My Mad
#LaurenBoebertIsSoDumb
Goofy Gaetz
Kinzinger

Aside: 'Kinzinger' makes me think of a cutting insult made by a tipsy uncle at Thanksgiving dinner.

I think ike's interstate system destroyed small towns, small business and mom and pop entrepreneurs all over, leaving us with big box stores, chain restaurants and low wages.

Education thread, but this may be a better place.

Teacher kept his job and the kid was forced to change classes.

Sounds like the father didn't help things. If a kid comes home and says "teacher says blah-blah," the helpful reaction probably isn't to say "your teacher is an idiot" even if that's clearly true. I'd suggest he could have encouraged/helped the kid to be more of a questioning person and look for verification or contradiction of things he hears regardless of source. It wouldn't take much digging to show the teacher to be the idiot (s)he is if the kid did it himself.
