My hometown makes national news.....for being stupid. I may have to personally get stomping involved in this fiasco. Local teacher is fired for stating that white privilege is real. I'm sure Diana Harshbarger is proud. I plan to check in with her about this as well. I think she misses me.

I happened to see the local newspaper while at the store today. The Sullivan County Board of Education is expected to vote today on whether or not to fire this teacher.

This was about 1915 or so. I have to figure the elephant trainer was a white guy. After all, no white elephant owner would kill it if it killed a black guy in TN during the early 20th century.

Probably not. A lot of them have been conned into waving their torches and pitchforks in causes that are directly against their own interests and specifically designed to appeal to the ignorant; like how they vote against the "death tax" not realizing that it's an "estate tax" that only applies to the transfer of millions so they vote to give millionaires tax breaks thinking they're voting against the government taking some of their money. And there's the "right to work" issue that they vote for which is in reality a "right not to pay union dues" even if you're a union member. The idiots somehow think "right to work" suggests they will be able to find a job easily. You just can't fix stupid.
