Animals

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Undetermined. At the least you glorify and enable cat stretchers.

How much are you willing to bet? I'm already retired, but some additional $$$ is always welcome. Put up or shut up.

Asinine.

3) The other day a big koi did suddenly jump out of the pond. Luckily I was nearby in the patio kitchen and was able to lift it back into the pond. I have no idea why it jumped....

Sick of its imprisonment. Suicide is preferable.

If there's a section on hummingbird electrocution or cat stretching, I'd bet anything he's behind it. His fish long for him to get his face close but I think he's also covered them in wire. Probably electrocutes any that take the jump or at least gives them a strong jolt.

3. At one point you stated that you had covered your fish pond with wire or maybe just surrounded it with wire to keep out raccoons. If you've re wired since then you failed to mention it. And that 18 incher was trying to fish slap you.

2) You made a false accusation. Nothing new for you, it would appear.

3) You misinterpreted what I wrote. In order to keep raccoons from raiding the fish pond and ravaging the koi and goldfish therein, I had to ring it with Fido-Shock wire. This is not the chicken wire you claimed. It's just a single strand. Do try to keep up.

neoplacebo is OBVIOUSLY winding you up because it's so damn easy to do. Otoh, you get busted making a sincere false accusation then cowering, Useless, cowering:

1. Yep. Just ok. Hack or don't.
2. It was you yourself who confessed to (perhaps) accidentally killing a hummingbird. I didn't make it up and it's not false unless you lied about it to start with. The fact that it's dead because of something you did makes you responsible. This is not hard to grasp. But try. You posted the stretched cat pic. I didn't make it up. The (possible) fact that you don't actually stretch and starch cats is beside the point. YOU seemed to like the concept of it enough to post it here. That's all. I just made fun of it.
3. Sorry about that. I just remember you posting about how you established some sort of defensive perimeter around your pond because of raccoons checking it out. I only remember that because my memory is so good because of the medicine I take. And that fish was trying to slap you in the face.

1) You're likely the hack here.

2) I'm not confessing to killing anything. The problem was that, unbeknownst to me, some flowers grew up from below the pond roof, within beak distance of the wire. When the hummngbird attempted to sip from the flowers, it alighted on the wire. I seriously don't think any sane person could have predicted this would happen, or blame me for the death. Of course that might rule you out, Neo. In any case, it was totally unintentional on my part, and I've since taken steps to prevent said flowers from encroaching within a few inches of the wire. There have been no repeat occurences.

As for the "stretch cats", that's just you being a fool.

3) The raccoons were attacking the fish and decimating the fish pond population. If anything I should be regarded as a hero to the pond fish population. And, in fact, another bird (an egret) decided to go fishing in the pond with consequent fish loss as well. I put a roof over the pond to deter that marauder. And for that I get just crazy accuasations of murder from some internet moron.

Are they protesting mask mandates?

Traffic Jam: Herds of elk make their way across highway, stopping traffic, fascinating all
Doubtful.

The sign clearly states:

"FIREHOUSE SUBS"

"WATER GROUND CORNMEAL & GRITS"

Now since elk are most likely 100% vegetarian, it's something they might like to consume. And they appear to be on the verge of hanging a left to visit the Firehouse Subs venue.

And, AFAIK, there have been no mask mandates anywhere in the world for elk, and these elk are not carrying signs protesting mask mandates, nor are they wearing anti-mask T-shirts.

Of course, there's no predicting what Chicago elk might do.

YMMV

Hell, it's lucky they aren't black or they'd likely be shot. I think what happened is the lead elk got fucked up eating truffles and they all just fell in behind him.
