I was also on the phone with a baker trying to get a cake that looked like two splayed legs with a small head in the middle with the lettering "Happy Birthday" but the fucker hung up on me.![]()

Two articles about accounts filed Friday with UK authorities. They don't contradict each other, but highlight different things:
Trump's struggling Scottish golf resorts lost nearly $9 million in 2020, new filings show
Donald Trump's two Scottish golf resorts lost £6.6 million ($8.9 million) combined in 2020, according to recently-published filings.
Accounts filed Friday with UK authorities show that losses at Turnberry, the former president's flagship resort in Scotland, hit £5.3 million in 2020, more than double the resort's £2.3 million loss in 2019.
At Trump International Golf Links, his Aberdeenshire resort, losses in 2020 amounted to £1.3 million compared with £1.1 million in 2019.
Trump opened the Aberdeenshire resort in 2012 after a protracted battle with local residents and environmentalists. The resort has since posted a loss every year.
The Trump Organization purchased Turnberry, a storied resort that has hosted the Open Championship, for $60 million in 2014 and claims to have spent a further $150 million developing it. The resort has not posted a profit under Trump's ownership.
Opps, Daddy fucked up.... Eric Trump, the former president's son, who is a director of both companies, said in the filings that revenues had fallen because the resorts were forced to shut during the coronavirus pandemic. He also said Turnberry's revenue w damaged by the UK's departure from the European Union, which his father had supported.
Brexit also affected the resorts "as supply chains have been impacted by availability of drivers and staff, reducing deliveries and the availability of certain product lines," Eric Trump said in the strategic report attached to Golf Recreation Scotland's account filings....

... Trump’s failing operations collected the COVID-19 relief during the pandemic, The Independent reported, even though the U.S. Constitution’s emoluments clause prohibits federal officials from accepting payments from foreign governments.
Of course.... Filings by the businesses in part blamed losses on Brexit — which Trump strongly supported — for disrupting supply chains. Despite the plush British subsidies, the businesses still slashed staff....

Kind of wish he would've had his press conference.
The meltdown would have been historic.
Trump spent January 6 anniversary watching Biden and Pelosi on cable news and he was enraged, report says

Hang in there. After stewing over it for more than a week, his AZ comments may be even more deranged than what he'd planned for the 6th. I hope so.GoCubsGo wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 9:18 amKind of wish he would've had his press conference.

Yeah, but I always thought it more fun to see him seethe when asked a perfectly appropriate question not to his liking. Trump's lawyer brutally mocked for 'insane' court motion that is 'perilously close to gibberish'
On Wednesday, writing for Above the Law, legal analyst Liz Dye ridiculed a new motion from former President Donald Trump's lawyer demanding that a federal judge block New York Attorney General Letitia James and state prosecutors from investigating his family businesses.
"Among the many categories of relief sought, most of which amount to 'tell that lady to go away and stop investigating me for crimes,' the former president asked for 'a preliminary and permanent injunction … requiring Defendant to immediately cease or, at a minimum, appropriately limit all ongoing investigations of Plaintiffs pending resolution of this action,'" noted Dye. "Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba has now managed to docket a motion for preliminary injunction, and, friends, for sheer batsh*ttery, this one rivals her letter to the Pulitzer Committee demanding that it retract prizes for the New York Times and Washington Post OR ELSE." ...
"The whole thing is chock full of over-the-top insane rhetoric, accusing the NYAG of violating the Constitution by the mere act of investigating Trump’s family business," wrote Dye. "Other passages teeter perilously close to gibberish: 'Further, Defendant utilized the subpoenas in a perverted manner to obtain a collateral objective. First, Defendant sought to obtain a collateral detriment to Plaintiffs inasmuch as she sought to compel Trump to discontinue his political career by launching unfounded attacks against him and his business.'" ...

Ulysses had a bunch of stuff about poking a hole in fresh only eggs and putting vinegar in the water but it was mostly bs.GoCubsGo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 9:52 pmI need that method in my life please.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 9:38 pm
Great method btw - the shell peels off like a tangerine.
Bring water to a boil
Add eggs and boil for 14 minutes
Transfer to ice bath for 10 (I go 11) minutes
Roll shell around on the counter or sink until completely shattered
When starting the peel under running water, be sure to get up under that thin skin between the shell and the egg (my wife calls it the placenta - now you have a same visual) and from there, just unwrap a perfectly perled egg.
