Over the past couple of days I've read about a black guy going to the bank to deposit money from selling his boat. The bank called the cops on him. And today I read about a black artist who deposited some checks from selling his art; the bank called the cops on him, too.
I saw the story about the boat sale issue. Despicable. I think the story said the credit union is reviewing its training standards or some sort of BS.
To be fair, the issue was that the check supposedly looked dubious at first. Old check, account number confusion, or something. But, the cops were called before all that was resolved. Credit union effed up on that.
Now where did that take place, again?
Oh yeah, Arizona.
In another incident, the director of Black Panther had the cops called on him at a BofA branch for trying to withdraw $12,000 from his own checking account. Even worse. In Georgia, of all places.
To be fair, he feels it should be decided on the state level.
WTF?
So a married couple from New York can travel to whatever shit hole the GOP Senator is from, and get arrested? Denied any of the rights of married people? Really?
Not to mention that race should have NOTHING to do with whether a marriage is legal or not, even in the Deep South. (The senator I think is from Indiana).
