Sure, I'll root for UNC today, but if Cinderella keeps riding their pumpkin to the Final Four I couldn't be too upset about it.
If you were Roy Williams, you'd think it's pretty cool if UNC plays Kansas that you were the head of one or the other of those programs for 33 years.
Halfway there.
Edit: Opps, I jinxed them. Sorry.
Congrats, but y'all were mean to the peacocks.
Actually 15 to 47 but yeah, it was a huge jinx.
I didn't watch. I saw a score in the highlights with no volume and applied some distracted math. How is it you say, Opps
To go easy on them would have been insulting. They're a fine team that had a great year. I love what their coach said after they beat Purdue "What they gonna say now?"
"Watch out for UNC" ?
Yep, if I were setting the odds there would be no favorite.
That's pretty incredible when you think about it.
Look at these two sidebars - dozens of NCAA Tournament Appearances, all of the later round appearances, and UNC's 6 NCAA Tournament Championships vs Duke's 5.
Too bad y'all aren't meeting in the Championship game. Still, this will be a game long remembered.Vrede too wrote: ↑Tue Mar 29, 2022 12:41 amLook at these two sidebars - dozens of NCAA Tournament Appearances, all of the later round appearances, and UNC's 6 NCAA Tournament Championships vs Duke's 5.

Even if the seeders were keeping them apart until the Final Four like this year, or later, it seems that random chance would have thrown them together a few times.

Here's hoping for double digit lead changes and a buzzer beating finale, or a couple of OTs.
Opps.Wedding day blues: Duke, Carolina fans getting married this weekend face incredible predicament
The first time she glanced at an NCAA men's tournament bracket earlier this month, Kelly Sullivan realized she overlooked one detail when choosing a wedding date.
“Hey,” she warned fiancé Zach Boehmer, “the Final Four is on the same day as our wedding.” ...
From the start, Kansas is looking to kick some butt. But it's a longish game, who knows. I'll root for Villanova 'cause they're a Philly team and not an Oz team, and because I think UNC or Duke might do better with them than Kansas. Either way, to me, it's like an opening act, a bottom of the card match, a preview reel...

Pennsylvania is purple, Kansas is red. Still not caring except for the Duke/NC factor, sounds like that might have to be good enough.
