Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

“Classic GOP hypocrisy”: Mark Meadows’ wife may have committed voter fraud too
Debbie Meadows, whose PAC backs Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, reportedly filed three false voter forms

Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows is already under investigation for possible voter fraud, and now it appears that his wife Debbie also filed three false voter forms in the 2020 election, according to the Washington Post.

North Carolina officials are currently investigating Mark Meadows on potential fraud charges. The New Yorker reported that Donald Trump's former top aide was registered to vote at a mobile home in a remote rural area where he never appears to have lived or even visited, at the same time he was spreading and supporting Trump's false claims about widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election

The North Carolina attorney general's office said that the State Bureau of Investigation and the State Board of Elections are investigating the matter after Macon County District Attorney Ashley Welch, a former Meadows ally, referred the case to the state for "potential prosecution."

... Debbie Meadows is the founder and executive director of the Right Women PAC, which financially backs "solidly conservative women" in House races, including far-right Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., and Lauren Boebert, R-Colo. She played a key role in her husband's early relationship with Trump, backing the former president after the release of the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape where Trump bragged about sexually assaulting women, according to the Washington Post.

"Is it offensive? Yes. Can we forgive it? Yes!" she said during a 2016 campaign event before attacking Trump's opponent Hillary Clinton....

Meadows played a key role in helping Trump spread falsehoods about the election, claiming in a 2020 interview that mail voting was rife with fraud.

"What we do know is a number of times as we have mail-in ballots, if there is not a chain of custody that goes from the voter to the ballot box, mischief can happen," he told ABC News at the time.

These repeated false claims of mail ballot fraud, when paired with the Meadowses' dubious voter-registration history, amounts to "classic GOP hypocrisy," charged the Center for American Progress Action Fund, a liberal advocacy group.

"As Trump's chief of staff, Mark Meadows accused mail-in ballots of being a haven for fraud," the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington said on Twitter. "It appears that he may have been talking about his wife's ballots."

Think of the delicious irony if she were the one to get prosecuted.

Trump likely committed felony with plan to obstruct Congress, U.S. judge rules

A U.S. judge ruled on Monday that former President Donald Trump "more likely than not" committed a felony by trying to pressure his vice president to obstruct Congress and overturn his election defeat on Jan. 6, 2021.

The assertion was in a ruling that found the House of Representatives committee probing the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol has a right to see emails written to Trump by one of his then-lawyers, John Eastman.

U.S. District Judge David Carter in Los Angeles said that Republican Trump's plan to overturn his November 2020 election defeat to Democrat Joe Biden amounted to a "coup."

"The Court finds it more likely than not that President Trump corruptly attempted to obstruct the Joint Session of Congress on January 6, 2021," Carter said in a written decision, adding: "The illegality of the plan was obvious." ...
Seize the emails, lock him up.

Milktoast Merrick is evidently a trumper and if Biden was worth a shit he would fire him immediately for failing to do his job.
Congress should pressure Biden, we already know Merrick won't do anything.

Didn't the National Archives request an investigation, or was it prosecution, weeks ago. Garland did nothing.

Wow. I remember all the sturm und drang during the Watergate scandal about a 18 minute gap in one of the phone tapes (time approx). And fun photos of how Nixon's secretary Rosemary Woods could have accidentally/on purpose caused the gap by answering the phone while her foot was on the control. But never a 7 hour gap. Trump et al (Melania?) sure outdid Nixon on this one.

Bye bye Bundy.

Only ten days. Not enough, he won't learn nuthin.

...
What an idiot! Oh well, at least that's 10 days where he won't be up to mischief, plus the 40 hours he still owes, plus $3000 he won't be able to spend.

Bundy's campaign is apparently irrelevant.

The real race is with incumbent Idaho Repug Gov. Brad Little, who is being primaried by the state’s lieutenant governor, Dolt . 45-backed COVIDiot Janice McGeachin. Bundy doesn't even merit a mention in this detailed article. :violin:

RWers are fractured there:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Idah ... l_election
9 Repugs
2 Libertarians
1 Constitution
Independent Bundy

Probably not fractured enough to elect a Dem, though.

When a wingnut comes along, you must whip it. Hawley should be dropped off in a jungle somewhere. He's out of control except to the people who give him money. And he looks like he got his head caught in a vise.

As with Goofy Gaetz, who also attacked SoD Austin for supposedly not being tough enough, Josh Hawley has zero military experience. Just another couple of sleazy RepuQ chickenhawks. Gee, do you think Austin's blackness has anything to do with it?

Yeah, this month is "pile on any black person in authority" month for the GQP. The other day it was Justice Jackson, now Secretary Austin. I can't think of any other black people in the administration right off, but if they're there, they're next.
