I used to know a guy who flew with the Blue Angels....
Anyway, he had a fear of heights. Couldn't get him to climb on the roof and tall staircases made him nervous. But the planes weren't an issue. Turns out that's not so uncommon and the difference is in what you see as the "floor". When he's in the plane, his "floor" is the floor of the plane and he's not really at a height....
I can relate. Airline turbulence doesn't bother me, nor do barrel rolls in Cessnas or biplane aerobatics. However, I don't like roller coasters and I never got fully comfortable piloting these:
Ummm, what is that thing, anyway? Looks like a go-kart on a kite.
Go-kite?
I've never had an undue fear of heights. I remember climbing the oak tree in our front yard back when I was about five years old. I got up to the point where the branches were dried out and turning white and breaking easily, then headed back down. I heard later that a neighbor had reported the stunt to my mom: "I hope you didn't so what so-and-so told me you did", she said. I refrained from further teasing that dragon.
I've ridden go carts but I think motorcycles are more fun.
"Kirk meets JFK? Spock is the man on the grassy knoll?"
"the Enterprise crashes through the Guardian and ends up crashing in Canada in the 1960s. A U-2 spy plane mistakes the crashed Enterprise for an alien spacecraft, which causes U.S. President John F. Kennedy to cancel his trip to Dallas in November 1963. This prevents JFK from being assassinated, thus altering the timeline."
"Paramount Pictures turned to Harve Bennett, the head of Paramount’s television division, in 1980 to produce the sequel to TMP. Bennett and Roddenberry reportedly clashed intensely during the production of The Wrath of Khan, even to the point where Bennett had Roddenberry thrown off the set after a particularly bitter dispute one day."
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

Smart, subversive, and darkly funny, Ready or Not is a crowd-pleasing horror film with giddily entertaining bite.

Himesh Patel, to me, is a refreshing discovery.
Lily James, as always, is delightful.
Robert Carlyle, not gonna tell you the surprise he pulls off, but it's perfect.

I usually cipher pretty good up till I run out of fingers, but I missed a finger in the final count.

In 1974, a hot-headed 19 year old named Michael Peterson decided he wanted to make a name for himself and so, with a homemade sawn-off shotgun and a head full of dreams he attempted to rob a post office. Swiftly apprehended and originally sentenced to seven years in jail, Peterson has subsequently been behind bars for 34 years, 30 of which have been spent in solitary confinement. During that time, Michael Petersen, the boy, faded away and 'Charles Bronson,' his superstar alter ego, took center stage. Inside the mind of Bronson - a scathing indictment of celebrity culture.
The irl Charles Bronson (prisoner, not actor) briefly had a bare-knuckle boxing career as a free man, "has been held at times in each of England's three special psychiatric hospitals," and is 69 years old, thrice married, a successful artist and author, and still in prison: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_B ... "I'm a nice guy, but sometimes I lose all my senses and become nasty. That doesn't make me evil, just confused."
That reminds me of: I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.
