The Senate candidate appeared on the PBS interview show “Love & Respect With Killer Mike” this past weekend and griped about how Trump is falsely taking credit for his primary win — and his decision to run in the first place.

“One thing that people don’t know is President Trump never asked me. I need to tell him that he never asked,” Walker told Killer Mike. “I heard it all on television that he’s going to ask Herschel, saying Hershel is going to run. President Trump never came out and said ‘Herschel, will you run for that Senate seat?’”

I'm still having a hard time imagining that 3 separate people (Greene, Boebert, MadCaw) in 3 different states could be so much dumber than a bag of hammers and still get elected to Congress without some (conspiracy alert!) plan behind it. I didn't count Gaetz because he's part of the local political family business down there. Somebody up the GOP chain who knows politics is pushing these people for a reason. My guess is to distract, attract attention toward themselves and away from all the evil the real party is doing.

I can't say about the others, but MadCaw was opposed by the establishment GQP in the 2020 primary, including by MadCaw's former internship sponsor, Meadows. Otoh, MadCaw rallied the extreme rural RW xtian crowd, and seemed to have held onto large numbers of them in 2022.
