Dann, that would be about Pensacola.

Interesting, coincidentally timed 60 Minutes report tonight on FL's coral reefs, their importance in hurricane damage prevention, the amount lost - mostly due to AGW, and efforts to rescue and regenerate them.

This time tomorrow you're gonna be in the cone.

Dammit, WNC needs coral reefs and mangroves.

Yep, smack in the middle of the cone as a Tropical Depression. We might even get more rain than billy.pilgrim  . Looking like Tampa will be on the dirty side of Cat 3 decreasing to a Cat 1, ugh. https://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/ ... -storm-ian
That doesn't seem too bad. Weather app is saying 3-4 inches over a few days.
Ian will now make landfall as a Cat 3 on Thur, passing SE of Tampa and hitting Orlando and even the FL east coast as a TS. Still aimed right at us as a TD on Sat - now over 3" in Hooterville. https://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/ ... ricane-ian

Article also includes cool 1" video of Ian from the ISS.
That don't sound too bad. I'm flying home Saturday. Just Looking forward to some good ol fashioned shitty American food. Ugh. What I would do for a corn dog
Vrede too wrote: Sun Sep 25, 2022 12:30 amYep, Tropical Storm Ian rather than Hermine. Up to a Cat 4 , but in theory just a Cat 1 when it strikes in billy.pilgrim's hood. That's the American model. The European model says Tampa gets smacked by a Cat 3....
Maybe I just notice it more, but it feels like the European model is always more correct. This has been going on for years. If so, what aren't they fixing the American model?
