TV here

1:00 PM EDT
Go Carolina 2-5 > @Atlanta 3-4 (-4), TV: FOX  Loser Bowl
Holy crap, P.J. Walker (Cam who? ) passed to DJ Moore to the left for a game-winning 62 yard touchdown with 12 seconds left. But no, Moore celebrated with his helmet off for an unsportsman like 15 yard penalty on the EP (49 yards), which was missed. 34-34 OT :angry-banghead: . Then, Mariota intercepted, long runback, Carolina safe runs up the middle, misses a 33 yard FG :angry-banghead: . OT continues. Has the Carolina luck run out?
Go @Philadelphia 6-0 (-11.5) > Pittsburgh 2-5, TV: CBS  Rout
Yep, rout.

Also GO:

1:00 PM EDT
Chicago 3-4 > @Dallas 5-2 (-10 ugh)
Yuck.
@Jets 5-2 > Patriots 3-4 (-3 :headscratch: )
Nope, 17-22 :(
Also:
Miami 31-27 over @Detroit. Congrats, O Really.

Ouch.
Nice athletic play by Fields...
:headscratch: Looks like he's having a decent game, but the D is failing in every quarter. Are you somehow able to watch it after all?
National game vs. regional games.....
True. Weird that you don't get the Bears since it's not a home game.
:headscratch:
I got the Bears game.

Yep, Atlanta drive, 41 yard FG try made, 37-34. Unbelievable sequence.

1-3 on the day, 2-3 on the week. I would have definitely picked Denver > @Jacksonville, too, but can't find that I did so. Wth, it's not like money is involved, 3-3.

The Panthers will be tons of fun to watch now.

They were ALMOST fun today. He just threw, yes threw, a 34 yard touchdown. Doesn't look like he had any attempts since 2019, 0/2, and no completions since 2018, 1/1 for 50 yards and a TD.

I'm impressed that SF gave it a shot in his 2nd game for them. 7-14 LAR. :(

It only got better:
Christian McCaffrey became the first player since 2005 to run, catch and throw a touchdown in the same game

Christian McCaffrey just did something only four other players have accomplished in modern NFL history.

The San Francisco 49ers running back ran, caught and passed for a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8. The last player to do that was running back LaDanian Tomlinson for the then-San Diego Chargers in 2005. New England Patriots wideout David Patten and Chicago Bears Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton also completed the feat. Seven others did it as well, though all were before the 1970 NFL-AFL merger, per StatMuse....

McCaffrey only joined the 49ers 10 days ago after being traded for a bevy of draft picks from the Carolina Panthers, but he's proving to be quite the offensive asset for Kyle Shanahan's offense. McCaffrey has been featured prominently in his second game with the team and is looking every bit like the player the 49ers have been looking for in recent years.

Pretty much everybody said Geno isn't capable, and he hadn't done much to disabuse that belief. Good on him for coming into his own when he got the chance.

Seems like he used his 6 years mostly riding the bench wisely. Look at this year's stats compared to other years and his career:

Wow. Did Pete spot the exact moment that Geno ascending passed Wilson descending?

Also GO:

Mon, 10/31, 8:15 PM EDTCIN
@Cleveland 2-5 > Cincinnati 4-3 (-3), GO Ravens!
Stomped 32-13. Ravens have sole lead of the AFC North!

The Easts remain the strongest Divs in both conferences, no thanks to the Pats.
The NFC East is the strongest Div in the NFL.
The Commies 4-4 are 1/2 game away from an East sweep of the NFC Wildcards.
New England 4-4 is 1 game away from an East sweep of the NFC Wildcards.
Philadelphia is the best team in the NFL, 7-0.
Buffalo is the best team in the AFC, 6-1.
The AFC South is the worst Div in the NFL, barely.
The South is the worst Div in the NFC, barely. Atlanta leads it at 4-4 :wtf: and Carolina is its cellar at 2-6 :( . If it hadn't given away the Atlanta game the Div would have all been 3-5, a Week 8 or later tie not having been seen since 1987. Oh well.
Detroit is the worst team in the NFL, 1-6. :(
Houston is the worst team in the AFC, 1-5-1.
Minnesota 6-1 is running away with the NFC North.
Miami 5-3 holds the 2nd AFC Wildcard slot. GoO ReallyGo!
San Francisco 4-4 barely holds an NFC Wildcard slot.

C'mon, Jerry, it's not like we need another reason to hate you, Abbott, SCOTUS, Dallas and the Cowboys. Hah, great minds . . .
One more reason to hate America’s Team.
You mean AmeriKKKa's team.
Beto doesn't take bribes from fascist billionaires.
I used to be a Cowboys fan but quit cheering for them once I started paying attention to politics and realized how horrible Texas is. This just proves I made the right decision.
Great! Another team I can root against that isn't named Green Bay
I didn't think I could dislike them any more than I do now but I was wrong
